It is a single storey house that has been completely remodeled in order to offer the best conditions to its guests. It is a modern house that at the same time maintains the Alentejana moth.
It is located in a quiet area and close to everything you need.
There is free parking at the door of the house.
The Casa da Matriz has two double bedrooms with orthopedic mattresses and air conditioning. The rooms have indirect lighting on the ceilings so you can rest quietly.
The kitchen and living room also have everything you need to cook your food and enjoy your meal, it is also equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi, smart tv 4K tv and stereo with Bluetooth.
The bathroom has a shower base equipped with two showers, one of them oversized.

Loved the quiet little local town

This is centrally located and very easy check in and check out. Free street parting. The apartment was a great size for the three of us and the back yard and pool were a lovely bonus.

Winter holiday

The house is quite compact but has everything you need to stay in comfort. Paulo is a good host. The bedrooms face onto the cobbled street outside, so passing traffic is quite noisy, but not too busy.

Good place

We stayed one night at this place and it was a pleasant experience. One thing we noticed however were the ants in the patio which eventually made their way into the washroom. Not sure if we had stayed longer if they would have been all over the house but they were certainly all over the washroom in a short period of time. A minor suggestion would be to place a shelf in the shower to have a place to put shampoo/soap, etc.

Ao redor do local, tudo para ver. Condições excelentes, mais do que se poderia esperar. Com tudo por perto para confeccionar uma refeição. Tudo o resto, estava dentro do esperado. Gostamos, férias diferentes com locais diferentes mas com ótimas condições de estadia para 4 pessoas.

De woning is zoals ze beschreven wordt, zeer netjes, compact, voorzien van alle moderne benodigdheden. Paulo is zeer vriendelijk en staat steeds voor je klaar. Ik zou de woning zeker aanraden.

Great location

A beautiful location if you are wanting to see the south and take in the city of Lisboa in Portugal. It is a half way point located in a beautiful village 30 minutes from Evaro, a world heritage site with a walled city that is totally function today. It also has a Roman theatre in the heart of the walled city. in the walled city there are restaurants offering great food. One of them is the local fish soup with bread, do not miss this meal. If you are driving please park outside the walled city and enjoy the walled city on foot or let yourself be driven by the hop on hop off service. Coming back to the property it is an amazing 53 square meter two bedroom location with shower and a fully operational kitchen. With a washing machines for your needs. The gem was the private walled and secure back yard with an orange tree in the middle. You can rest your feet and enjoy your meals with a nice glass of wine taking in the fresh air. The local market (held only on weekends) is located 10 minutes by foot and there is a Super market just 5 minutes before the market. They have all for your needs. Great selection of frozen fish, veggies, wine and spirits, There is a butcher at the same location and a small dessert counter and coffee shop. ATM,s are easily located. And a nice selection of local restaurants. Our favourite location was the local bakery near the Market so 15 minutes away, what a gem.

Newly renovated house

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house had been remodeled and was very comfortable. Air conditioning in the rooms if you needed it. A very nice court yard with an orange tree. Walking distance to shops cafe grocery store. Really enjoyed our stY and wished we could have planned to stY longer.

Ideal location

What a lovely property, modern and tasteful. Situated on a traditional cobbled street within walking distance of everything the town offers. Great wifi too which is a must in our current time. Ideal location for visiting Beja and Evora districts. The town's wine is lovely. Our host left us a complimentary bottle but we did go and buy more it was so nice. Virtually no one in Vidigueira has their own pool.... But the public pool is so nice why would you. Grassed shaded areas surround it, there's a bar serving food and drink and there's even a diving pool and costs just 2 euros. There are plenty places to see but you do need a car and be prepared to drive for up to an hour. (Beja, Evora, Alqueva Dam, Praia Fluvial Amieira, Mértola, Monsaraz Castle) If you're looking for a holiday that's not just about the beaches on the Algarve then try this place... Just a couple of hours north of Faro

Casa muito bem localizada e equipada

Passámos cinco dias tranquilos numa casa bem localizada e onde a vizinhança é muito afável. Muito bem equipada e bem decorada o que faz com que seja um gosto também permanecer na casa em descanso, a cozinhar, no alpendre etc. Embora pequena, muito bem organizada. Tem tudo o que é preciso e ainda tem um alpendre típico, muito simpático com mesa e cadeiras, onde dá para no final do dia fazer uma refeição ao lado de uma laranjeira. O ar condicionado é top e existe nos quartos e sala que tem uma TV enorme. Tudo muito bom. As piscinas municipais são mesmo cinco estrelas. São cinco, três descobertas e duas cobertas. Passa se lá o dia todo sem monotonia. Só vendo.! :) Gastronomia excelente. A repetir sem dúvida. Recomendo vivamente.

Perfect small village stay in the centre of Alentejo!

A perfect little house beautifully renovated and very clean. The host does not speak English but we used translation software so no problems with communications. Parking was on the street but never a problem finding a spot right outside our door. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the courtyard because of rain and cold temperatures, but we did enjoy the oranges from the tree in the courtyard! A bonus was Netflix software(need to use your own account)on a big screen tv. A great location to explore southern Alentejo on day trips. Thank you Paulo!
