Family fun
Great property and well suited to our family. The table tennis was a hit for everyone. Lots of help as we had car troubles from the start of our stay but still managed to enjoy ourselves. Recommend this property to anyone.

Not what we were looking for
This property was accurately portrayed in the listing, but had some drawbacks. The downstairs had no curtains for the windows. The large bed was a foam mattress, although the smaller bed was a regular mattress. The shower had some mold. There were some bare wires and burned out light bulbs.

The foam mattress is in the description and should not be a surprise. There is no mold in the shower . The wires do not affect anyone or the safety of any person. I do not think a burnt out light bulb deserves a two star rating . I would suggest you stay at hotels in the future .

Great place to relax!
We enjoyed the cozy converted barn! It was comfortable and spacious, and we loved the ping pong table! Only complaint was the bathroom is upstairs, but not a deal-breaker. We'd definitely stay again!

Great place away from it all
Well appointed place in a quiet neighborhood. Just what we needed so our kids could get a quiet sleep after busy days of travel. Ping pong and the giant bean bag were hits. And the barn fit us just fine. We enjoyed seeing the friendly dogs and spying on chickens through the fence. Would stay again!

Converted Barn
Lovely place to stay, much bigger than expected. A nearby drive from the ferry, in a nice quiet countryside spot. On the road the barn is on there is lots of roadside stands selling jams, berries and flowers from the local farms. The place is very clean and well maintained inside. We very much appreciated the table tennis! Spotted a hummingbird outside the window and received a sweet welcome from Murphy the dog!

Perfect in every way
I did the planning because my travel agent was a no show. I think I did great at finding the perfect fit for my two sons and myself to enjoy Victoria, Butchart Gardens and all the other sights. Such a lovely home just 12 to 15 minutes to whatever caught our interest and a quiet comfortable retreat to sleep at. This is the best of travel and restful vacation. Lovely hosts, lovely home just the best.

Wonderful hostess and comfortable barn cottage. Perfect for us! We absolutely loved it! We loved the location and all the countryside had to offer. We prefer this area over Victoria. Enjoýed the fruitstands nearby! We will definitely book here again.

Great little place
Beautiful place to stay for our trip to visit family. Place was bigger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Our group of 5 all had plenty of space. Clean and comfy. My only recommendation would be some extra mugs. We could only find 3. Not a huge deal though. 😊

Spring break get away
Wanted to hike, bike and golf and everything was nearby. Enjoyed the country setting and touring the back roads. Had a wonderful visit with my daughter and several intense ping pong matches. Christy the host efficient, friendly and so accommodating. Will look this place up again especially traveling with little ones.

Was somewhat disappointed with our stay given that I had been honest from onset that my reason for booking was to have a Thanksgiving dinner with my son and girlfriend who are going to university in Victoria. I had even asked about best place to buy an organic turkey. Turned out the oven is an apartment sized not full size. This is not indicated in the listing. My son and girlfriend were approved to visit the suite for dinner. However, I then also asked to include my son's roommate for the dinner as at last minute he was going to be alone for the holiday weekend. This was unfortunately declined by owner who didn't want multiple guests in suite or property. This was still all one bubble (all roommates/family) and not at party but rather a family dinner (would have been 6 of us total). We abided by her decision and moved the entire dinner over to my son's very small apartment. This was extremely inconvenient and challenging.

Hello, It is unfortunate that you chose to move your dinner to a different location. However, I do not think the size of the oven would be a problem as there has been turkeys cooked in there before. I had no issues with any of your booking requests, it was when you made additional requests that were more difficult. The barn is a wonderful place to gather for those who are part of the booking party as per house rules.

Great pleasant, relaxing stay
The barn was perfectly renovated. It is very cozy and sound proofed. It is surrounded by nature. The property is located close to the ferry, Te airport and Several attractions. The hosts are very nice and the property is very quiet. My friend a I enjoyed a relaxing trip. I highly recommend this property 😊

Incredible spot
This converted barn is amazingly spacious, clean and comfortable. We’ve stayed in a lot of Vrbo’s and this one has so many extras to make it feel like home. A great spot for families, comfortable beds, friendly and accessible host, and very handy to Victoria and the ferry. We’d for sure stay here again.

Quite and Clean Close to Airport
Quite and clean, close to the airport and beautiful Elk Lake (which has a 10 km trail around the lake and fishing). Clear and quick communication with the host. 25 minutes to downtown Victoria.

We loved our time at this location. The host was amazing (even though I canceled and uncanceled the reservation) and flexible. Victoria is just a short 15-20 minute drive and the peace and quiet of the rural farmlands were exactly what we needed.

Four nights at the cozy converted barn
The landlord was pleasant and friendly. The place was cozy and comfortable. I would highly recommend bringing ear plugs though, and sleeping with all windows closed. We were awakened at 3:30 am on more than one occasion by the local rooster. I suppose we could have expected it as we were sleeping in a converted barn :P The bedding was comfortable but the house is very bright which causes the sun to wake you up early in the summer time. The landlord did provide sleeping masks, but curtains over the windows would go a long way. There are currently only shears. We enjoyed the ping pong table and television set up. Overall, an okay stay.

Thank you for your review. We do live in a rural area where there is local livestock allowed in the neighbourhood. If you close the windows and turn on the air conditioning it greatly lessons the outdoor sounds.

Cute Barn, better than expected
Really lovely accomodation with vibrant living area and modern kitchen. Large upstairs and bathroom with everything we needed. My group even said after that the listing didn't do it the place justice as there was added extras like a washing machine & dryer, air conditioning etc. Lovely area close to the lake, but you definitely need a car to explore! Only criticism would be the lack of curtains, however eye masks were included! Overall enjoyable stay!! And who doesn't love the added ping pong table?
