"I booked for six (4 adults and 2 children), when we arrived they only had accommodation for 4 (1 double bed and 2 singles) however the booking by Expedia confirmed 2 double beds and 2 single beds and accepted the booking for six occupants. They found 2 camp beds for my children which meant we had to squeeze 4 into one small room. "Our room was very clean and comfortably large. The location was outstanding, being conveniently close to the train station and Main Street with it being load or overly touristy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a great start to each day! We were visiting during the epic European heat wave and while the hotel did not have air conditioning the doors to the balconies were convenient and easy to keep open to create a draft. Thick curtains kept the sun out during the day to keep the room from warming too much. This was our favorite hotel from our Switzerland trip visiting 4 different hotels."

"The hotel was excellent. It's only about a 15 min walk from the railway station (which also serves the Glacier Express). Zermatt is car free, so if the walk is too far there are taxi options (although I didn't use these). Zermatt is very picturesque. Unfortunately my trip to Zermatt was delayed due to issues with my flight, which meant that I arrived at the hotel much later than planned (and when reception was closed). However, I was able to inform the hotel of this issue en-route and they provided me with good details of what to do. Room was large, spacious and had a traditional Swiss theme. It also had a balcony, complete with outdoor chairs/table and overlooked the mountains (although not the Matterhorn from my side of the hotel at least). The shower was much better than I expected from looking at it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast."
