Looking to escape the bustling noise of everyday life and immersing yourself in a tranquil sanctuary? If so, welcome to your private hilltop! Imagine a captivating getaway in the form of a private lookout tower, perched exclusively on a scenic hilltop. Surrounded by the Sierra Foothills and 360 views, this secluded retreat offers a unique opportunity to indulge in serene solitude and breathtaking vistas. The absence of light pollution is perfect for admiring and capturing the Milky Way.

A gated entrance leads up to the top of the hill, where your private getaway awaits you. You will have access to the entire 3 story home which welcomes up to 6 guests. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the top floor can host 4 more people with a sofa bed and futon. The home has two bathrooms and a full size kitchen and dining area.

Enjoy the sunset on the 3rd story deck and watch the stars in complete darkness. You may encounter wildlife such as deer, quails, pheasants, and even the local cows! Take a walk or drive down to the private pond and fish for big bass and crappie (barbless hooks only please). We even have live worms to increase your chances and snagging a PB bass!

Wonderful stay

A little tricky to find so I’m glad we first went in the daylight to find our way. But once we were there, it’s a beautiful place with a great location for checking out the stars at night and very secluded and quiet.

What a great find!

We loved everything about our short stay in the tower! The views, the sunset and the stars were amazing and so peaceful.It feels you are on top of your own hill overlooking the valleys left and right, with great hang out spots outside, downstairs and upstairs on the balcony where the sunset is at it’s best.The owners made us feel very welcome and taken care of, with the little details in the house and all the amenities that were there. Wish we had more time to explore the area, so we definitely will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The house was spotless and clearly well maintained. The views from the home are stunning — peaceful and scenic, with open skies that make for great stargazing. One of my favorite features was the idyllic pond a short but steep walk from the house — calm, quiet, and perfect for unwinding.Another bonus is the location. It’s only a short drive to Moaning Caverns and Natural Bridges, two amazing sites that are absolutely worth visiting while you're in the area. This place is a perfect mix of comfort, cleanliness, and natural beauty. Highly recommended!

Wonderful getaway to the tower

We were looking for a nice, serene vacation spot away from the hustle of daily life and we found it! Really neat spot located near both moaning and Mercer caverns as well as downtown angels camp and Murphys. Very clean and comfortable. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. Not to mention, we watched the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets From the third floor. Our young son loved the property. I have already recommended this spot to family and friends!

A beautiful spot!!!!!

Wow, what a dreamy place!!! Its was a bit of a "splurge" for our budget and worth every penny. The property manager is incredibly helpful and responsive and provides you with so many special amenities. The kids caught their first fishes in the pond! The BEST unexpected bonus was finding a bunch of geodes on the gravel lot!!!! The kids loved finding them and then spreading them out for others to find. A great stay for a family!

Amazing!

Getting to stay here, hosted by Sarah, was amazing. The location is beautiful and so private. It was the perfect little getaway for our family. Sarah is a fabulous host who left no stone unturned in making sure the property was perfect for our stay. Even down to little details like multiple charger cables in each room, the milk frother to accompany your morning coffee, the s’mores packs, and more were such special touches. They also went out of their way to help us out when we had a little car trouble. I’d totally stay here again in a heartbeat! Go visit the lookout tower asap!

We had an excellent time at our stay at the hilltop tower in Vallecito. Everything was clean and working well with beautiful sunsets in the evening. The area was pet friendly, and our dog loved being outside in the open air with a place to run.

We were in town for a concert at Ironstone Amphitheater. Since we procrastinated a bit in booking, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find something within about 15 minutes of the theater, and as a bonus, with a beautiful vista view! We loved drinking our coffee on the top balcony, overlooking the ridge. It was a delight to have so many amenities, even thoughtful complementary satin eye masks on the bedside tables, and a s'mores kit in the fridge. Would love to stay again when we have a long weekend and can take advantage of the fishing pond. Simply a delight.
