Friendly front desk, building and rooms are older and dated. Overall it was clean. Building is a bit run down but the room was clean, breakfast was ok. Price was right.

Glad you enjoyed your stay! We are working all the time on updates and renovations but our rural location makes it a slow process. We pride ourselves on being the most affordable stay in town.
Super old and extremely overpriced hotel. There was no thermostat in the room,so on the cold September night they just gave us couple of extra blankets.
Tiny room & could hardly walk around the bed which was two twins pushed together. Nothing in room except bed and tv. No coffee, no Kleenex, no shampoo, etc.

So sorry there was no shampoo in your room, our busy housekeepers must have overlooked putting any. The front desk is more than happy to provide additional shampoo, conditioner, hand soaps, and lotion. We understand that the tiny bottles aren't quite enough for longer hair or multiple people. As for refreshments, we have coffee, an assortment of hot tea, and cocoa available 24/7 in our breakfast room.
Just a great place if you can't get an AirBnB. Not expensive, serves breakfast, friendly staff and small rooms.

Glad you enjoyed your stay! Our rooms are just the basics needed to rest after a long day of driving, adventuring or fishing! We aim to keep our hotel the most affordable stay in town!
Good. Rooms are small but didn’t spend much time in the room other than to sleep so not that bad.

Most of our guests just need a place to rest, dry off and warm up after a long day of travel or adventure in our beautiful corner of paradise. Glad you had a nice stay!
Room and bathroom had too much of someone else hair. Room was not cleaned.

Walls were paper thin- we could hear the people talking next to us and above us. Tiny room - two beds in our room, each pushed up against a wall. Plenty of hot water for the shower. Breakfast buffet was so so. Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches that needed heating in the microwave. Waffle maker (1), cereals, pastries, fruit.

Unfortunately, our building is older so it is not very wheelchair friendly. I hope in the future we will have an elevator. Glad that we could help make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Glad you enjoyed your stay! Good hot water, with nice pressure, is a necessity when coming in after a long day of adventure!

Unhygienic bathroom, haven’t had a stay in such a terrible hotel. The tap on sinc wasn’t working either
This property could really use some upgrades! Even getting new linens would be a vast improvement. It feels very rundown

With the recent change in ownership, it is definitely on our to-do list! We are making one upgrade at a time but being so rural it takes a little longer.
Enjoyed my stay, a coffee pot and a mini fridge are nice to have, but this hotel isn't set up that way. I had no issues, place was clean, few loud guests at night, but it's tourist season, so I understood, thanks!

Glad you enjoyed your stay! We have 24/hr coffee/tea available in the breakfast room, and limited fridge and freezer space via the front desk.
The beds weren’t bad. Very musty smelling in the halls. Very small rooms, stained carpets, noisy. Definitely old & in need of updates. Breakfast offerings were pretty good. I liked that they had individual packets of peanut butter & milk bottles, but the milk should be on ice to keep it cold…it was just in big bowls. The rooms were pretty clean.

The place is based on my experience a work camp from the 1980ies. All things worked and staff was nice. Rooms are not sound proof you can hear noise from adjacent room
Free breakfast with items you can eat up.
For the price it is good value

Glad we could make your stay enjoyable. Yes, our building was originally an emergency office headquarters during the Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989. It was then converted into a hotel in 1996. You do get to stay in a little piece of history. We understand these rooms were not built with soundproofing in mind, which is exactly why we are researching options for soundproofing the rooms.
While in the room you could hear conversations from in hall, the cafeteria, and other rooms. They were quite loud. There was no temp control for the room so to cool it off the window had to be open with a fan in from of it to draw in the cooler air. With the window open it added to the noise issue.
Bathroom tub was sloppy workmanship and caulking moldy. Hot water from faucet turned off at night. No room thermostat control. Breakfast products gas station quality. Room tiny. Just space for one double and two twins.
The staff member cleaning our room was so happy, smiling and singing every morning. Delightful way to start the day.
Reason for 4/5 stars, the room was a challenge for my 89 year old, handicapped father. For example, no grab bars in the bathroom. Other than lack of some handicap amenities, our stay was wonderful.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! We are looking at options for making our rooms more accessible but it will take us some time, but we hope to have at least a couple more rooms modified next season! :)
