North Pole Cabin Retreat
Our North Pole Cabin Retreat is a great place to come for a day, a week, or a month or more. A person can experience life in Alaska in comfort. Our log cabin was built in 2002 and has had many guests over the years. We provide housing year round, and winter or summer the cabin is warm, dry, and safe. Running water is a must, as are clean comfortable beds. The cabin has two queen beds, kitchenette, full private bath, BBQ and picnic area outside. Parking is nearby. We are only 2 miles from grocery, dentist, medical, gas stations, gift shops, dining establishments, churches and bars. Although you are close to the comforts of everyday living, it will seem as if you are a long way out in the woods. We are located in a private, wooded property with a waterway flowing by. In summer there are many nesting ducks. There are many wild flowers growing all around, as well as hanging baskets of flowers we plant for your enjoyment.

A wonderful, cozy stay! The property consists of one building split into two rental cabins, but it still maintains a very quiet, secluded atmosphere. It’s conveniently located just 3-5 minutes from fuel, food, and shops.
Nancy Peterson is an excellent host who provided clear directions and expert local advice the moment we booked. Thanks to her 'must-do' suggestions, we were able to plan our itinerary with ease. Highly recommended for a well-located getaway.

We experienced extreme low -40F in the last night we stay. My car cannot start. The cabin is warm and the owner kept us to stay when we were waiting for the assistance. It is a unforgettably warm experience in such a low temperature
Beautiful setting with a view of water through the trees. Host was very helpful with any items we needed. It was a cute place that we would book again on our next trip

Perfection! Relaxing! Cozy! Hospitable! These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of our stay. Our host, Nancy, is by far the very best and we appreciate her very much for making sure were comfortable and had everything that we needed.
Cozy and great experience! Lovely little home base if you're trying to see the northern lights. Great communication with Nancy and everything was clean and cozy. Highly recommended, thank you!
Nice cabin, good price, well located for all the things we wanted to do on our Alaska trip. Went up there to see aurora and there was a great frozen lake viewing area around the corner

Stayed here with my dad and brother for a quick weekend winter getaway and we had a great time! Cabin was clean and comfortable with modern amenities. It’s also located in a quiet area with a great view tucked in beside a river. Nancy was a great host who answered all our questions and provided us with recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Next time we’re in Fairbanks, we know where we’ll want to stay!
Great location near highway but tucked back in the woods. Enjoyed the fire pit, gas grill and picnic tables outside. The cabin was clean, well supplied and relaxing. We enjoyed chatting with Nancy and our stay.

Our host, North Pole Nancy, was fantastic! We had such a great time at the property. There was plenty of wood for the fire pit, full propane grill, and also a charcoal grill. We hosted several people on a Saturday night and had a great time! We would love to stay here again.
The cabin was quiet and perfectly located. It was clean and spacious for our needs. North Pole Nancy was very attentive, answering all of the questions we had. We bbq'ed and used the firepit every evening. Thank you North Pole Nancy for such a winderful trip.
Wonderful property! Came to North Pole for my aunt and uncle's 70th wedding anniversary at Chena lake recreational park real close by, so location was perfect. 👌
This cabin is private, quiet, and in a beautiful natural setting. It's easily accessible to nearby towns, shopping, and local attractions.
Host was very communicative and helpful, and provided a few thoughtful touches specific to the stay.

We had a great stay at this cabin. It kept us warm even though it was -40F. You will find everything you need in it. Our host Nancy was super helpful and gave us toe warmers and tips for things we could do. The area is very quiet but easy to access by car.
We would definitely book this cabin again to experience the area in a different season.

One of the best times of our lives! My wife's dream to see the Northern Lights was achieved thanks to the great advice from our host, North Pole Nancy. Not only that, Nancy gave us great suggestions for activities that wholly enhanced our entire trip and guaranteed us a full emersion into many great activities. Hope to come back again and enjoy this wonderful property and Alaska.
Nancy is a very pro-active host and she gave many recommendations on activities todo.
The place is small and cozy, a perfect winter getaway.
The house was at good temperature even though outside was -40F.
Nancy also provided an option to park close to the house and she would bring electric hookup to keep car warm.
A must stay place to relax and enjoy the winter.
This place is perfect if you just want no-nonsense accommodations, an incredibly friendly and informative host, and easy access to any of the reasons you might be visiting Fairbanks. Nancy's advice helped us see the Northern Lights at some amazing locations and get the fullest experience out of our 4 day trip. The bed is also EXTREMELY comfortable, possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever had while traveling. The kitchen is a little cramped but totally workable if you can work in a small space. I highly recommend staying here if you are going to visit Fairbanks.
