In addition the location was fantastic. a short 5 minute walk and you are in the center or Catania, with tons of shops and restaurants. this was in the middle of the square. i would rate it higher then a 10 if possible. was a fantastic hotel . "This was a perfect location, less than a 5 minute walk to historical sites, restaurants, shopping, vending machines, the fish market, etc. Max gave helpful information about local sites and restaurants. On-street parking and a parking lot were both within walking distance. The building and room were older but the location more than made up for that. "

"The property is in a residential area. Big gate and on the post , a small signage of the hotel’s name. We spoke to someone on the intercom at the gate, the gate then opens. The property has a rustic charm. Some reviews we’ve read mentioned that the property needs renovation or updates. We think they don’t, it’s part of the charm (for us anyway, who are just visiting Italy). We only stayed for one night so didn’t get to use their swimming pool but it looks okay and romantic in the evening....
