Only basic dormitory style rooms were offered with public bath which had water pressure problem that 2 cannot wash at the same time. "The hotel is very well located, near the train and bus stations. We could walk to the castle in 10 minutes. The area felt safe and calm. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the amenities available for free in the reception area. The laundry area was useful (though busy). The staff helped us arrange luggage transfer to Magome and stored our backpacks after check out when we went to tour the city. This is a very good choice for a trip to Matsumoto and the price is fair for the quality of the room."

We stayed 4 nights and used it as a base for Kamikochi and the wasabi farm and cycle in Azumino as well as the Castle in Matsumoto itself."
