"This hotel was very clean and looked very new. The room was really big by Japanese standards and the layout was great! Breakfast was a good value as well. Check in/out was easy. I'd recommend this hotel instead of some other ones that are closer to the train station because those looked rather dated by comparison. This property was a 20 min walk from the station or a 7 min taxi ride. There's plenty of restaurants around the hotel. It will likely be my go to when I'm in Tsuchiura again."

"I stayed for 3 days. The price was reasonable, and they provided breakfast. The facility level was a little bit lower than business hotel, but all of things were well-equipped. Front desk was kind, and they provide shuttle service from hotel to JAXA or San-So-Ken, the national research complex in Tsukuba every morning, so most of visitor will be satisfied in this hotel."

"The beds were perfect, the shower pressure incredible and the foot massager amazing after a day of walking. The Tiroir amenities were much appreciated. We did not eat from the candy buffet (after spending the day at Disney, we would have preferred fresh fruit or vegetables). The breakfast was fantastic for variety and quality. "
"Room was basic and small, but this is Japan. So that’s expected. We did not have breakfast. We did eat dinner, it was ok. We were only here for a short while in transit for our next flight. Was close to the airport. "
"The positives: Our large and comfortable twin share room on the 22nd floor with a magnificent view of the superb Skytree. The room was spacious, clean and consistently maintained by housekeeping. The front desk was always polite, friendly and helpful. In fact all the staff were so delightful and attentive. Additionally, the hotel is walking distance to the JR Kinshicho train station with direct link to Tokyo, Shinjuku, and Akihabara- all significant places of interest. Kinshicho is a thriving hub and has a Uniqlo, Zara, Burger King, McDonalds, and a DonJiote (a Japanese everything store open 24/7 selling everything from luggage to souvenirs). There is also an abundance of sushi, ramen and gyoza shops behind the hotel (we did not discover this until day 4). The negative was the breakfast buffet. I felt that the range of options for fresh protein: fish, chicken, tofu and fresh fruit (banana, strawberry, apple, orange) was not available. I also would have liked to have seen some onigiri, nori rolls. Processed meats, juices, potato fries are not to my liking. However, all in all our stay at the Tobu was a great success and I would highly recommend it! "
