"I stayed at this hotel a few months ago and was impressed enough with it as a value for money proposition the first time that I decided to stay again the next time I had cause to be in Ann Arbor. All the things I liked about it the first time I stayed here remain good: it's clean and well-maintained. The staff are pleasant and professional. The location is good, especially if you want someplace to escape the crowds and mayhem of downtown at the end of the day. And the onsite restaurant is excellent--for dinner, but also for breakfast and lunch. The thing I really appreciated this time around is that they seem to have read and responded to the one complaint I voiced after my first stay--that they didn't offer simple drip coffee to guests of the hotel in the morning, something even the most basic motels seem to do as a matter of course these days. This time they did, which I really appreciated. I'm not sure if that was a result of my comment or if it's something they do occasionally, but not consistently, and I just happened to be there on before on days when they didn't. But I really appreciated the added amenity this time around. It made all the difference."

"We booked two rooms for our trip. Our rooms were booked by the host in separate buildings...far from each other. Both of the rooms we were given were not cleaned upon our arrival, which was well after the check in time. It took a while to get new rooms. I had to go out of my way to suggest that our rooms, which were booked together, were in the same building. The rooms were nice. I will say that I didn't feel very safe as a women staying on this property. There isn't much protecting you from strangers. The room doors have deadbolts but with no employees onsite I didn't feel as safe. The rooms were very clean and as expected. You can hear everything going on in the rooms above you. So, if you are a light sleeper this may not be your best option. It was nice having onsite parking in a secure garage. It would have been nicer if we were able to access the garage by one of the other doors closer to our assigned building, rather than having to navigate all the way back to the garage door itself. The garage door is closest to building 1-5...if you are staying the the other higher number buildings you will need to lug your luggage a long way. I'd stay here with a group. I would not stay here alone as a woman for safety reasons. You are better off at a hotel."

"I only stayed one night, but all of the staff were excellent- consistently helpful and ready to answer any questions. The valet parking was so convenient and easy to pay for via a link sent to my phone- it made it easy and I didn't even have to download or sign up for anything. The facilities looked like they were all in good shape, the room was bigger than I needed. I was disappointed that the bathtub was very small and shallow (considering the room name mentioned the tub, I'd been hoping for a nice soak, but oh well, no big deal). The only thing I was truly disappointed in was that there is no room service available at all. I'd have stopped for food or brought something with me if I had known, but I guess I shouldn't have assumed. The mattress was the least firm mattress I've ever experienced in a hotel, which was a surprise but not a bother for me, though other people might strongly dislike that. There's construction happening on the road in front of the hotel which isn't the hotel's fault, but it did make the valet process slower than it probably normally is, and I could hear the construction noises in the morning, but again, no big deal. Overall, I had an excellent stay. I appreciated the staff, and the location is nice- within walking distance of the music venue I came to Ann Arbor for, as well as plenty of bars/nightlife, and a farmers market/market shops for the AM. If I ever come back to the area, I would very likely stay again!"
