"Breakfast wasn't good. Grits, Oatmeal, and overcooked turkey sausage patties. No bacon. Juice machine was empty and when asked they said they aren't filling it. No milk. The elevator didn't work so my pregnant wife had to use the stairs. The pool was freezing cold, filled with too many chemicals, and had a lot of trash in it touching my feet at the bottom. The place tries to be fancy but is more like a polished turd. No matter what you do to it it is still a turd. Maybe a good suggestion would be to aim toward business people or families, not both. It's almost like this place is trying to do too much as once and failing in all areas. We wouldn't even go in the pool a second time. We stayed 2 days at this place. The week prior we stayed at Holiday Inn Grand Rapids - South by IHG. Both hotels are 3 star rated. The Holiday Inn in Grand Rapids was far superior stay in all areas compared to this polished turd Embassy Suite Hilton. Lastly, I was charged $200 a day deposit. I have never had to do that. And for being such a bad hotel why would they charge a deposit anyway? This hotel is not good."

"The pool was nice and warm. Hot tub and sauna was nice . Grandkids loved it and had a blast. Booked a room here because Expedia offered a discounted rate. Our room was not the greatest. The closet door needed repairs, coffee pot water reservoir lid was missing ,and nasty looking in side, ice bucket lid was missing, bed frame seem to big for mattress and we hit our legs on it, felt great. The ice machine should be called a sluch machine. Also had quest next door playing music ,slaming door till arond midnight . "

"Breakfast was cold every day. Good choices but not kept warm. Heat/cooling in the room was very noisy. We had to turn it off at night so we could sleep. It’s a new property and quite nice; convenient location . They just need to get some kinks out."
