"Everything was amazing except for all of “neighborhood noise”. This included a train that did 3 whistle blows sometime after midnight, the sports engines that reverberated between the hotel with a “city facing” view (an apartment building the same height as the hotel) that created the perfect noise tunnel. It is also in the flight path of pdx, so as soon as morning flights started, yep, you guessed it, those were thundering over too. Loud enough I momentarily mistook it for a blue angels squadron doing their maneuvers. The property is gorgeous, the staff was amazing, but sleep is so important. I will try it again, but it will have to be a water facing room that I’m guessing would reduce a lot of of the ”neighborhood noise”. "

"Please note that the WiFi here is terrible! It’s nonexistent. So if you need good WiFi you’ll need to stay elsewhere. I travel for work and have stayed at a lot of Motel 6 properties all over the country because of the cost and pets stay free at most locations. I’ve stayed at this property 2-3 times. It’s clean, fairly quiet and safe. Parking spaces fill up quickly as it appeared as if there were a number of permanent residents staying there. No housekeepers knocking on your door on a daily basis. There’s lots of restaurants and a convenience store within walking distance. Esther Short park and the waterfront are a few blocks away and there is often a lot happening in the summer such as outdoor concerts. I had an issue with my door not closing unless I was in the room with the dead bolt engaged. I was told I’d have to wait like two days for maintenance. And then I asked for additional time to check out because I was changing hotels and traveling with a pet. The manager/owner told me I could have until 1130. But then he was literally knocking at my door 1115 asking why I hadn’t left yet. I He was very rude and for that reason, I will never stay here again."

"Breakfast had promise from the looks of the set up and from the nights before - all that was really good. Then, sadly, regular hotel food. Fresh, plenty, but "the usual.""

"The staff did not care that my daughter was recovering from a medical emergency and wouldn't give us a timeline on how late they were going to be in having the room ready. My daughter had a severe allergic reaction at lunch and was heavily drugged and nauseated. I went in at 3:30pm asking if we could get in early so she could lay down while we watched her. They said no since checkin was at 4pm but had me do the paperwork ahead of time so we could get her in immediately. I showed up a few minutes before 4pm and they were checking in others and handing out room keys (including another large family probably in the same 2 bedroom suite). When I got up there they told me the room was not ready on time but couldn't give us an estimate (not even to the closest hour!). I asked if they would call me when ready, and he snarky replied he didn't have my phone number (he had me enter it on the earlier paperwork). Half an hour later my daughter had to come in and lay down on the foyer couch to get out of the hot car and at 40 minutes when he still wouldn't give me an estimate I cancelled so we could go elsewhere. As we're leaving, he offered us cold water. No offer for her to come in and wait out of the heat, no offer for refreshments as we waited, no offer for letting us know when it was ready (I had to ask for that), no updates, no apologies, no offer for discounts, etc... He had only offered to move us to separate (more expensive) rooms where we couldn't keep an eye on her."
