MANCHESTER: Lake District Adventure - Sightseeing Day Trip Tour
"The location and apartment were great!
Unfortunately the beds were the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in - so lumpy and uneven we couldn't sleep for the 2 nights we were there. The sofa bed mattress was so thin you could feel the metal frame all night. The mattresses all need replacing!"
"Front Reception was excellent!
From that point on everything went down hill.
A very run down room with a dirty window looking over the car park. Threadbare carpet and frayed edges of the mattress hanging down. Dated decor and a less than pristine bathroom with a disgusting non slip mat! Really!
Loud music played in the breakfast room.
Cold plates - Coffee like dishwater
The morning server looked like she slept in her clothes with a straggly pony tail and un-ironed shirt. I already informed the...
"Older hotel with some renovated rooms (which are lovely). Great sized pool with very warm water. Changing rooms in the evening were out of shower gel and full of wet towels. Lockers had keys but no wrist bands so no easy way of storing them. The pool has selected hours that children can use it and these are currently morning or after 4pm.
Great location but the hotel doesn’t own the car park and its free parking behind the adjacent aquarium. You get a ticket from the hotel put in your window....
"We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point.
Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well.
Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting.
The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated.
Definitely recommend 10/10"
