  • Designed for two, the Herons' Nest condo is a private and unique hideaway. Nestled in Tybee's historical Venetian Terrace District and sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Back River Inlet. The Herons' Nest offers a quiet retreat for honeymoons, anniversaries and rest and relaxation for hardworking couples. Lovingly designed by Tybee artists, Fred and Malinda Urvant, the condo reflects their eclectic Art-Deco style of design. Original paintings by the late Soho artist Larry Urvant and photographs by Fred Urvant adorn the walls. Restored Art-Deco furnishings and white tile floors complete the condo's cozy design.

    Play on Tybee's scenic Back River Beaches and return to your own private tropical garden to rest and relax. Enjoy a cool drink on your spacious screened porch or soak in the warm waters of your own private 4-person Jacuzzi. Rejuvenate in a soft-water shower and wrap yourself in fluffy towels of Egyptian cotton and sleep on European style linens. Luxury at the beach is only a moment away during your stay at the Herons' Nest.

Loved our 3 day stay over St.Patty’s weekend. This place is close to everything. 3 min walk to secluded Tybee River beach. Plus, 5 min walk to one of the best restaurants in the island,AJ’s. The Herrons Nest is comfortable, and the neighborhood is quiet and clean. Easy to get a Uber for a jaunt to Savannah. Thank you for a very well hosted stay on Tybee.

Great Private Getaway for Celebrating #15

We love Tybee! This property is great for privacy and relaxation. I loved that we stayed within a short bike ride to the beach and the main strip of this quaint little beach town. The 2 bikes came in handy and we enjoyed the November cool weather. Weather was perfect. Sunsets at Tybee are gorgeous. You can tell the owners have this down to a science. Everything you need is at the property. We hope to come back again - maybe next time during the summer season with our little one!

Nice cottage for 2. We enjoyed our stay very much. Host was very nice and allowed an early check in, which was very helpful. Cottage just as described. Just a 2 night getaway before family descended for Christmas. Would suggest upgrading the bed linens, thin and wouldn’t stay on the bed. And although there was a nice selection of movies, the DVD player didn’t work and requests for help went unanswered.

August Week On Tybee

The space was lovely. We had 4 stars for the following reason. Hosts were staying upstairs and we thought we would have the whole place private. I accidentally walked into the private quarters upon arrival and was greeted by a cat. We weren't informed of check in process until asked - ended up being easy - everything unlocked and open, but would have liked to know ahead of time. Location was wonderful and all accommodations needed were provided.
