While the property offers manicured comforts and Southern panache, the surrounding neighborhood, known as the Victorian district, affirms Savannah's status as a premiere vacation destination. The Victorian District was home to famous Revolutionary war heroes and dignitaries, including Eli Whitney and Juliette Gordon Low, founder of The Girl Scouts of America. This quaint, pristine landscape is pedestrian friendly, with quick access to guided bus tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, and The Fragrant Garden for the Blind. The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) main campus is close by, as are numerous world-class, trending restaurants offering a plethora of dining options an easy walk or bike ride away.

This place was beautiful and you couldn’t ask for a better location. Check in was easy and the place was so clean. We will definitely be staying again!
The cutest place to stay in Savannah! Walking distance to many restaurants, cafes, bars, and attractions! Right next to a beautiful park! We loved the little outdoor seating area as well! Highly recommend staying here!
Love the proximity to Forsyth! We had a beautiful weather weekend so it was especially lovely to be able to enjoy the park. Home had all we needed to relax and enjoy visiting our daughter who is at SCAD.
House has the authentic characteristics you want when staying in such a historic city. Perfect location, close everything but still a quiet neighborhood.
This place was amazing!!! Super clean, awesome interior style, great music on the home pod, and wonderful location! We will totally be back to savannah to stay here :-)
Cute house with a perfect location. Can walk to everything or short uber ride. House clean and well stocked. Enjoyed the shared back patio for cocktails! Beds comfortable. Plenty of room for multiple guest. Would stay again.
First of all, the location is amazing! Secondly, the property itself is gorgeous!!! I can definitely see myself coming back to stay here in the future!
Our stay was great, this property is located right by the park which was great! A few things we’d like to suggest that could have made it better: higher quality pillows, working ceiling fans, add a shade on the back door window. Overall a good stay!
Would definitely stay here in the fall, winter or spring for a night or two again! Plenty of street parking and felt totally safe to be leaving our cars. It’s right on Forsyth Park so perfect for Saturday morning market strolls. The unit stays pretty temperature regulated but the nature of a loft and older building means it will get a little warm but cools down fast. Just likely wouldn’t stay here in the summer with the heat. Everything was as described. The shower is tiny but again, that’s in the description so just be aware. Kitchen was well equipped and beds were firm and comfortable.
Came back to town for a short weekend getaway with an old friend from SCAD. We had the best time and loved being right by the park. Couldn’t have been better.
The Carriage house was a perfect spot for our adults only trip! It was our first time to Savannah for all of us, and being so close to Forsyth park and a short walk to downtown through the park and all the squares was exactly what we wanted. The house was cute, clean and cozy! The courtyard in the back was also a great spot for morning coffee. We all would recommend this house for your stay. If you have smaller children, beware of the spiral staircase, but older kids would be fine! Thank you again for a great getaway!!
Great little place to stay location was perfect. The property was a little difficult to find the first time and parking was a little difficult. Also the coffee maker spits coffee everywhere when brewing single cups. The back door could use a curtain to help with more privacy. Overall good little place to stay.
Property is exactly as described in the listing! Great location for anyone looking to stay near Forsyth Park. House is small, but space has been maximized and two king beds make it super comfortable for accommodating 2-4 people. This carriage house gives you a feel for old Savannah, rich in history and architectural design, with some modern touches. Though closely surrounded by other homes and buildings, there is still a sense of privacy. We only stayed for one night, but could have definitely enjoyed staying longer. My only wish for this home was that there was an additional mirror located somewhere within the home. With there being only one bathroom, my daughter and I struggled to do hair and make-up timely. Not a big deal, still super cute and accommodating home!
Quaint carriage house off Forsyth Park, walkable towards the river with a dot and shuttle stop close. Comfortable beds and roomy for our group. A few suggestions, thermostat goes to 78 each day and upon return to to carriage house in late pm or evening it takes 2.5 hrs to cool down.
Linens could be fresher, shower tub is slippery and very confined with curtains yet artistically quaint if you were to bathe. The back door glass needs a shade for privacy to bathroom and moving around home. Local fare and suggestion book was nice and pur water in fridge helped with drinking water. Collins corner cafe is delicious and super close in park and Saturday morning farmers market was a plus. Parking worked out well.
Location was ideal. Place was clean, light & for the most part thought out. Nice to have a washer & dryer. I will note that even though there’s a nice coffeemaker, it has no water filter w/i but there were coffee filters without any coffee or coffee pods or tea. There’s a nice coffee shop called the “sentient bean” @.02 miles from lodging and a Kroger’s grocery store not too far away. We walked everywhere. Free parking a block over but keep in mind there are days that sweeping is done. I will also note that if you’re driving down bring a shower caddy. Otherwise, it’s quite awkward. Also, the toilet seat needs to be replaced. Finally, I would come back to this part of town vs. waterfront.
The location and overall presentation of the house is nice. Caution regarding the bathroom as the flooring is offset/uneven, resulting in the toilet rocking upon sitting on it. This also affects the angle of the shower/tub.
Additionally the communication can be hit or miss. I texted the POC regarding the exact location but did not get a response. However, I received communication when I messaged the POC (via VRBO) about the lack of no Wi-Fi connection. Although their reply included steps which did not correct the issue, I replied to inform them of the matter—never received any other communication. No bueno :-(
First the positives, and there are a lot! It’s a beautiful house, with little details that make it feel historic and modern at the same time. The beds and pillows were comfy, and the location was perfect. Check in was easy. Everything was clean, and we appreciated having a few games to spend time together.
However-
The toilet seat that was mentioned in another review still needs to be replaced. It appears to be installed just off center enough that if you shift, you get startled by the seat moving.
The tub is beautiful but highly impractical. I was the first in our group to shower, and when I first turned it on the water came right out onto the floor. I was able to move the direction of the shower head slightly so this didn’t happen again. However it was an unnecessarily complicated shower as there was nowhere to put my things, I had difficulty standing on the curved surface, and exiting the tub was challenging. I’m short and don’t have the best balance, but my family members struggled with it too.
If not for the tub I would definitely stay here again.
This is a super cute carriage house. As I am accustomed to living in small spaces,I see a lot of potential there. Unfortunately, the owners have not made it a priority.
Pluses: location. Parking. Easy checkin/out.
Negatives are due to needing to update or focus on things needed while people stay there.
1. There are no dressers or closets anywhere. Even shelves with baskets would be nice to allow you to put your clothes in during your stay.
2. The bathroom doesn’t have any place to put your toiletries while Showering so they’re either on the floor in the tub or on the floor outside.
3. There is a medicine cabinet but someone installed a faucet which is too tall to allow the cabinet to open. SMH
4. Come prepared. As the listing states, they don’t provide much. No beach towels etc. I’ve stayed at numerous vrbos and they always have essentials like plastic baggies, Saran Wrap etc. none of this is there. (Usually left by previous visitors.)
5. The back shared patio space was disappointing. The rug on the ground was covered in moss. The umbrella as well. They’re quite old. It also needed a good cleaning. Debris everywhere.
I’ve stayed in plenty of vrbos. I’ve never complained about them And they’ve been old and new. This one was a bit disappointing for the cost. I’d have rather spent it on a hotel room.
I also wouldn’t advise anyone with any sort of physical issues stay there. The tub has a big drop out of it. I almost ate it a few times.
Great place, stocked with everything I needed to cook simple meals. Location is perfect to the park and for walking to many popular locations. I was visiting my college son and the loft bedroom gave extra space for him to stay and hang out during my visit. Great for friends or a couple . Tiny, quaint, and full of character.
