We get enough snow in winter to play but not too much to shut down roads.

My house does not have access to Twain Harte lake but is 20-30 minutes from Pinecrest lake.

Great time in Twain Harte

A great place to stay, especially if you have a big group. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table, arcade cabinet, board games, and nearby mini-golf. Comfortable spaces for the grown ups to relax.

Beautiful Twain Harte Home

We had a wonderful stay in this large fully equipped home in Twain Harte. The bedrooms are so comfortable! The home has everything you need and is conveniently located to Twain Harte businesses, lakes and skiing. The views are spectacular and we can’t wait to stay again!

The property was amazing, very clean and set up very nicely. Views were amazing, we actually had a few deer on the property as well when we got up. We would love to book this house again for another trip in the future.

Nice and quiet

10 of us gather every year for a friends getaway. This property was more than ample sized for us. We all like to cook so the kitchen was a real standout. Plenty of common areas to gather in and two big decks.

Perfect for a family/friend getaway

Home was absolutely beautiful and came equip with everything you would need. Extremely comfortable for our group (12 people, mix of adults and kids.) Perfect location (close to grocery store/restaurants and not too far from the lake.) Excellent spot if you are looking to relax, enjoy time with family/friends, and spot some wildlife (lots of deer and birds which we loved!) Would definitely return again.

CA mountain vacation

We had such a lovely stay! The house was clean and large, perfect for a big groups. We had adults, teens and little kids and everyone was happy with the house. There are fun things for little kids which was so helpful. My teens took over the basement and loved having their own space. The host was so kind and quick to respond. Would highly recommend the property.

Family Retreat

Beautiful, well furnished home. Had everything from a gourmet kitchen to baby accessories. There were baby gates for our use as needed. The house is in a beautiful setting with a wonderful view of the forest above the trees. The only negative was a fee barking dogs. Thanl you for a great visit.

Family trip

First off the house was beautiful, had plenty of space for all my family . We all got have our own space which is a must when you are having a family get-away . The views were wonderful, the patio was exactly what we needed to enjoy our dinner together . We also enjoyed the garage entertainment from ping pong to Pac-Man and galaga . Family had a blast and we willl cherish these memories for years to come . We will be back thank you.

Beautiful and serene location

This house welcomed us with spacious layout, gorgeous view from the windows, all decked kitchen, and a family friendly living room. Kids enjoyed books, toys and board games, and PacMan in the garage. It is 20 minutes away from Pinecrest lakes where we spent almost every afternoon. Twain Harte town council has a new boba place and a few shops for us to explore. The host is very responsive and was able to solve our questions. We highly recommend this place.

Family Time

We had a wonderful time with our family at Cheryl’s beautiful home. This was our first time to Twain Harte and the location is great! There were 11 of us and there was plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable. We stayed 4 nights around Easter and Cheryl welcomed us with Easter gifts! Very clean and comfortable home! Definitely would stay again! We also took a trip to Columbia which is only a 30 minute drive. There is a family of deer that love hanging out and we watched them from the deck. Cheryl is a wonderful host!

Cool House

We have been to Twain Harte many times during the years and my adult kids wanted a place with air conditioning. Well this place was always cool and the overhead fans were very helpful. Everyone liked the large kitchen. My grandkids aged 3 to 5 enjoyed the play area out front. A couple issues occurred during our stay and the owner was very quick at taking care of them. Also while talking with the owner she was very pleasant.

Feb. ski day + 75th celebration

We booked this property because it is near my brother's home, and we needed to house a group of us so we could celebrate our mom's 75th birthday. A family ski day was her request! This property was perfect! We walked into Twain Harte, easy drive to Dodge Ridge and the kitchen had every kitchen tool/item we needed. Snowy day: we used the front are fire pit, lower deck to enjoy the storm and the game room. This property would be wonderful in the other seasons as well. We would rent from this property owner again! Cheryl responds very quickly.

Beautiful Home for All Age Groups!

We had a wonderful annual family weekend in this beautiful, huge, comfortable home at the end of a quiet lane. (Wish I had 1/2 the closet/cabinet space in my own house!) The house is fully equipped with ALL amenities and is very child/toddler friendly! Our 18 month old had a great time. Cheryl was an understanding, generous, and accomodating host. We had a rocky start with the housecleaning crew but Cheryl quickly resolved the issue which we greatly appreciated. We all created lasting joyful memories. Thank you to Cheryl and her family for sharing their vacation home with us.

Awesome place!

The owner is responsive with inquiries and confirmed that the house was ready for our late arrival. There was plenty of room in the driveway for multiple cars and the house sits on a cul-de-sac so you could park at the top of the driveway if necessary (e.g., snow). There were extra sheets, bedding, and blankets around, although I might suggest bringing some extra if you have the max # of ppl and you need to spread out. This was one of the few nice houses that could accommodate our three families with kids in beds of their own! The kitchen was well- equipped, although I would bring some containers or baggies for leftovers. The bathrooms were great (adults seemed to like the upstairs shower in the hall) and they had heated floors, and we loved the fireplace! The family must be tall because the kitchen island was high and the window to the outside on the front door was so high! The boys loved the game room (garage), and the girls liked the outdoor decks. I liked the nice touches they added, like offering earplugs. They seem to be a lovely (and trusting—No locks on owner cabinets/closets!) family, and we thank you for graciously opening your home. Oh yeah, kudos for the written labels everywhere!!
