A quaint cottage in a very quiet location, perfect for accessing the beautiful walks from the doorstep. A good open plan downstairs with the bonus of a private sunny patio garden. Level off-road parking. We would definitely like to return for another holiday in the future.

Perfect
We have just spent 5 nights here with our small dogs ,the courtyard is completely secure which was great for us. We had great weather and enjoyed many beautiful walks , didn’t use the car at all . So nice to come back after our walks and spend time sat in the garden listening to all the birdsong. Such a peaceful location to wind down and recharge the batteries. We are definitely going to book again.

Needs a good clean.
We stayed at Lavender cottage last year and decided to rebook for this year because we loved the location! Unfortunately this time we were very disappointed. On arrival it was clear the place hadn’t been cleaned prior to us arriving. Lots of dead flies and cobwebs in every room. The toilet bowl was dirty, and the toilet seat was mouldy. Around the base of the sink and skirting boards was very dirty. The bathroom window was mouldy as were the walls in the bathroom and at the top of the stairs. We also had no hot water, with no instructions left on how to switch it on. Luckily we figured it out quite quickly once we located the boiler. I contacted Nicky who popped over to apologise, and I have since emailed FalCottages but I’m still awaiting a response. Needless to say I doubt we will return. It’s a shame because it’s a very sweet cottage in a lovely quiet location.

Stunning location but could do with some tlc
The location is great and the cottage has loads of character. There's a new kitchen but rest of cottage could do with some love and a deep clean.

Peaceful cottage
Lovely little cottage. Be aware Place House next door is a wedding venue so in season you can expect at least one very noisy night! Apart from that it’s totally quiet. A few basics left would be nice, we had one J Cloth for all washing up, and one dishwasher tablet.. Logs and kindling for the stove was a nice touch but bring matches. We enjoyed our stay.

Not happy
On our arrival at Lavender cottage, I thought what a stunning location. Only shops available at St Mawes or Falmouth. The least i expected was a welcome pack with basic items to make a cuppa or coffee. (This was something i always provided when rented out properties). The cottage itself was cleaned to a low standard, (dirty and cracked mug in cupboard) The toilet seat was completely broken, plumber could not fix it, needs replacing!!! Rusty shelf in oven, BBQ dirty and unusable. Only two towels one bath one hand provided for a weeks stay (very mean). I will not stay there again.
