Charming garden apartment with Hudson River views in historic downtown Kingston
10/10 Excellent
"This apartment was perfect for our needs. It was well appointed, clearly well cared for, and easy to access. I’m not sure about handicap access, but it wasn’t relevant. We enjoyed our stay, the host was very knowledgeable and kind. They have created a wonderful small space with a spectacular view of the Hudson River. Kingston turns out to be quite a happening place."
Best Western Plus Kingston Hotel And Conference Center

"I was pleasantly surprised with how gorgeous this hotel was. My room was super clean. The fitness area along with the pool were beautiful. If I'm ever in the area again this is where I will be staying! "
"The queen cabin over looking the river is just so quaint . The restaurant was open and steak salad was unbelievable. The property is beautiful. The most dog friendly place ever."
"Steep stairs rewarded by magnificent loft. Very clean, pool table, TV complete with YouTube, Netflix, Prime and a bunch more I am did not useModern appliances, bathroom & shower were exceptional.Lots of little touches done right.I am very sensitive to noise at night, forgot my earplugs and had no problem sleeping. There was the occasional train which in the MBR was not a problem. For sensitive sleepers, might be a problem in the other bedroom. We did not eat there (no good opportunity),but there is a hole in the wall Jamaican restaurant one block away that rated 4.8. My stepson who likes good food and restaurants spoke highly of it.I was a bit torn on the neighborhood rating. The area is gentrifying and while some of houses in the area were in need of repair and there is the occasional graffiti, there are 3 artists' studios on the block. My stepson drives 20 minutes to some of the restaurants in the area.Normally I when in the area, I stay with my stepson and his family, but they had a big event (14 kids in the basement) so we needed a place to stay, If the need arose, I would happily go back here again - and I am picky."
"Great location if you are spending a couple of days in the Kingston area. Charming house and decor. I loved that they deliver warm coffee and muffins in the morning. The room was decorated nicely and they even provided a record player with records."
"Overall disappointing. Historic and on creek sounded great. But they forgot to mention that it’s also right under the train bridge which has train traffic all hours of the day and night. And it’s on a busy road so the no shoulder so the vehicle traffic is loud and you can’t walk the dog or walk anywhere safely from the house. We stayed in the 2-bedroom which was the first two floors of a 3 bedroom house. The floors are see-thru boards and we could hear every move the people on the 3rd floor made. The claw-tub bath/shower is balanced on a block of wood. The floors are j even and tiles are coming up but they just threw some rugs over them. The stairs are steep and narrow. There’s no yard (really tough with dog). And the sink in the bathroom spit out brown rusty water the first use of the day. There is nothing on the windows to block the bright street lights that shine straight into the bedrooms, so none of us slept well. I thought it was daylight at 1 am. They’ve put some effort into decorating and maybe they’ve really fixed it up from what it was. But I could not recommend staying here. "
