"Had a great stay. Service was good, restaurant meals tasty, breakfast buffet a terrific spread. Room was clean and comfortable. Aircon worked well, and wifi was fine. Grounds are good for a little birding, with several common island endemics. "

"Pros: Room is very spacious and clean. Common areas also nice and generally I enjoyed a quiet atmosphere. Staff is nice, food is good. Cons: They did not honor the complementary airport transfer that is announced on line, they arranged a private taxi that charged me 20 US Dollars (for a 4 minute ride). The quality of bed linens and towels is not great, they should improve them. The one day I used the

"The Omali is an oasis of pristine calm in the chaos of São Tomé. The hotel and gardens /

area are immaculate. The restaurant food was by far the best food in or near the capital. 5 mins from the airport (no noise). The beach is a bit grubby but far better than the town beaches. Local area was safe in the daytime when we went out although not a lot in the immediate area to see. I upgraded to a suite as wasn't much more but well worth it as room was huge. "
