Very friendly and every time smiling service. They are well trained, but also hard treated by the boss. For example he never smiled or said hello. You feel this like a guest, too. We had a room on poolside. They rooms are very modern and comfy, but in the 3 rooms we went in had big mold patches everywhere. Everyday we had to pay our bills, like the ones for dinner. We asked for paying at checkout, they said it’s impossible etc. At the same moment our friends who sit next to us and can speak Portuguese, were possible to pay at checkout. Unfair and not acceptable treatment, instructed by the boss. How ever they have one of the best breakfast on the island. Sad that the vibes the boss were sending, destroyed our freedom.

Zunächst das Positive: sehr schöner Garten, reichhaltiges Frühstück, Comfortzimmer gut mit angenehmen Betten. ABER: wir haben nachweislich ein Comfortzimmer (22m2, Terrasse) zu einem Sonderpreis gebucht (not refundable) Dass die Unterkunft 15€ weniger von Expedia bekommen hat, als wir bezahlt haben, ist nicht unser Problem. Jedenfalls weigerte sich der Patron uns das gebuchte Zimmer zu geben. Er wollte uns in eine 14m2 Kammer „abschieben“. Oder wir sollen das Hotel am besten verlassen. Nach langen Diskussionen bekamen wir das Comfortzimmer nach Aufzahlung von 10€.

Restful, warm and friendly retreat. The bedroom and bathroom facilities meet or exceed the standard one would expect from a quality international hotel. The restaurant serves a variety of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, all were good, as well as bottles of wine, beer and liquor at reasonable rates. The property is about 30 minutes from the main town by car and the beach is a substantial walk. That wasn’t a problem for my purposes, but be advised if you’re looking for dining out/nightlife and quick beach access - this might not be your place.
