"A lovely and clean gite with everything you need for your stay. Very cosy. The host is very welcoming. Lots of place outside for kids to play. In a very quiet place,but very close to the local villages. There is quite a few things to do and see. Absolutely felt in love with this area. Kristina"

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 2 semaines chez Dominique. Le gîte est situé au cœur d’une exploitation agricole. La nature et le calme y sont omniprésents. Nous nous y sommes sentis très à l’aise dès les premiers instants. Le gîte est très bien équipé, nous n’avons manqué de rien. La piscine est très agréable. Les ânes sont adorables. Et l’environnement est exceptionnel. Malgré la canicule, nous n’avons pas du tout souffert de la chaleur dans le gîte et nous avons très bien dormi. Dominique a toujours été aux petits soins tout au long du séjour. C’est une hôte incroyable qui nous a offert de petites attentions chaque jour. Nous ne pouvons que recommander son gîte !"

"This is a brilliantly located, comfortably appointed ground floor apartment in a solid town house on the main square in Aubeterre. It is close to all the amenities - shops, cafes, bars, within comfortable walking distance of the beach with its excellent bar and great swimming in the Dronne.The outside space is not attached to the house and is found above the parking place, fifty metres from the house. This made it less useful than it might have been - perhaps a BBQ up there would have made eating outside a possibility!The kitchen was fairly well equipped but there were no instructions for the appliances - the induction hob, the washing machine, the TV. It would have helped to have had a simple guide to how to use these appliances as we spent a bit of time trying to figure it out and had to ask the host how the TV worked!The bedroom and bathroom were really well set up and comfortable. We wondered how it work for two couples with the second bedroom off the first, but we were travelling alone and were able to use the second bedroom as a dressing room.So, overall, we had an enjoyable stay in Aubeterre, right in the heart of the town. If the host addressed some of the issues raised, this would be a five star review."

"Lovely traditional farmhouse in a beautiful, quiet rural setting and very dog-friendly. Sandrine is an excellent host, providing us with a delicious dinner and breakfast. Our room & bathroom were spotless and very comfortable. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back!"

"Fabulous house, very well equipped and very comfortable. Lots of outside space with plenty seating areas in sun or shade and plenty loungers round the pool. Mosquito nets on many of the windows were a real bonus. Communication with the owners was excellent, very helpful and always replied quickly to any questions. This is one of the best houses we (six adults) have stayed in. Unfortunately, between booking the house and our stay, the local boulangerie had closed which meant a drive to Saint Aulaye in the morning if we wanted fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. Apart from that, everything was just perfect for us."
