Cottage with coastal views of Abereiddy, Porthgain & as far as Strumble Head
10/10 Excellent
"Hard to summarise. Was pure bliss. Lovely well thoughtout and beautifully furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would return again if wasnt such a big trip.. thank you for the lovely stay."
"This property might be less than ideal for those with mobility issues. There are 3 steps from the hall to the kitchen and a further 2 steps from the living area to the bathroom. There is a steep, narrow staircase to the bedrooms. We took motion sensor lights with us to illuminate the stairs at night, very glad we did. The steep access to the property includes 2 hairpin bends. Our shopping delivery had to be wheeled up the hill as the van didn’t make it. There is a public footpath that runs past the windows and out through the back garden. As previously mentioned in reviews there is no hairdryer. The towels are soft but really quite small. Visitors need to bring their own dishwasher tablets, washing up sponges or dishcloths. There was one tea towel. The property was clean, nicely decorated and very well equipped. Most contents appeared to be brand new and matched. It was good to be able to walk to The Shed and The Sloop. An evening stroll around the harbour was lovely."

"- The house is perfect- we settled into the holiday within seconds of arriving as everything was all ready for us, clean and kitchen well stocked with all we needed. Cake on arrival was much appreciated after a 5 hour drive. Our holiday was x2 adults and 3 children(13,10 and 8)- Perfect location for exploring Pembrokshire- short/nice walk to local harbour with pubs, restaurant and coastal path. A short drive to St Davids and Whitesands beach- We had one of the best holidays and the house made it."
"We had a amazing week. Mr Rees and his family were amazing hosts. They could not do enough for us. our little girl loved collecting the eggs first thing in the morning and loved meg the farm dog.. The house was spacious and very clean and located in a perfect position with no passing traffic so very safe for our daughter. Close to the beach and surrounded by countryside .A brilliant stay and we look forward to returning again."
Picked for its character, charm and gorgeous sea views from every window.

"Lovely well equipped pretty cottage beautiful views of Pembroke coastline comfortable and warm with helpful owners next door. Good access to all local golf courses coastal walks cycle rides and local interests eg art galleries etc and near good pubs . Best to have a car and has good parking."
"Great lodge, very comfortable everything you would ever need in the lodge from washing and drying facilities, cooking and drinking - even some games to play - excellent place to stay of excellent standard - the night skies here are amazing too. Sloop pub and Porthgain only a short walk through a field would strongly recommend staying here for costal path walks."
"The location is the star with this cottage. Porthgain is an absolute gem of a place, and we enjoyed eating in both The Sloop pub next door, and The Shed, which had amazing fish and chips. There's also a lovely ice cream shop in the village. The cottage could have benefitted from more bedroom storage, as the 2nd bedroom had a very small wardrobe. The kitchen could do with an upgrade - there was no freezer, and we tried to make a meal, but the the kitchen hob didn't have enough power to boil the water for spaghetti. That was disappointing, but at least we could pop next door for a decent meal! There are also some restaurants in St. Davids, which is a lovely little place just 10 mins drive away. This was the nearest place with a small supermarket. Overall, we enjoyed staying in the cottage and can't fault its location."
