"Lovely clean cottage, nice Welsh Cakes on arrival after a long drive were welcome. Hosts were available if required, but also appreciated the privacy of this property. The log burner was nice as the week was very blustery and cool so was nice to get back and put the fire on.Beds were comfy, all amenities were in good condition.One recommendation would be to look at the windows as the bedroom and living room windows were very drafty and as cold meant we did have to put the heating on to run a lot of the stay as the cottage lost it's heat easily.Great directions given prior to arrival.Whilst the beds were comfy we did find the seats in the living room to be lacking back support so not the comfiest if sat for a while.We found it difficult to find the public footpaths that would shorten the walk to the Sloop Inn etc so a bit more details would be great.Thanks for your hospitality!"

"Our third trip to this lovely little cottage - though the first for a while. Nicely fitted out and equipped, and well located for St David's and the coast. Garden worked well for our dog - good to be able to let her out without worrying about her escaping."

"Great lodge, very comfortable everything you would ever need in the lodge from washing and drying facilities, cooking and drinking - even some games to play - excellent place to stay of excellent standard - the night skies here are amazing too. Sloop pub and Porthgain only a short walk through a field would strongly recommend staying here for costal path walks."

"Clean cosy cottage, very comfortable bed, all amenities that we required. Full of character that reminded us of our childhoods. Good electric shower. Although some appliances old, they all worked perfectly. The host was very friendly and helpful. Secure garden for dogs. "

"The location is the star with this cottage. Porthgain is an absolute gem of a place, and we enjoyed eating in both The Sloop pub next door, and The Shed, which had amazing fish and chips. There's also a lovely ice cream shop in the village. The cottage could have benefitted from more bedroom storage, as the 2nd bedroom had a very small wardrobe. The kitchen could do with an upgrade - there was no freezer, and we tried to make a meal, but the the kitchen hob didn't have enough power to boil the water for spaghetti. That was disappointing, but at least we could pop next door for a decent meal! There are also some restaurants in St. Davids, which is a lovely little place just 10 mins drive away. This was the nearest place with a small supermarket. Overall, we enjoyed staying in the cottage and can't fault its location."
