"The smell of the rooms are awful ! "

"Very roomy King bed room, included a sofa-bed. Everything was nice about the room except the desk chair. It was horribly worn on the back and seat areas. Don't know why it wasn't replaced long ago. Other than that, I was very pleased with the room. A big plus was the fact that there are 3 Tesla destination chargers on the side of the building. This is a great feature and I wish I had known about it before charging at the nearby Tesla Supercharger facility."

"We had the absolute best stay! The place was exceptionally clean and had every little thing you could think of from kitchen supplies to Nespresso machine to a first aid kit to walkie talkies to kayaks! If you forgot something, no problem because they most likely had what you needed. The dock was a great fishing spot! Beautiful view of the lake from the screened in porch without having to go down the steps, but trust me you will still want to go down the steps to the lake. Communication and check-in was a breeze. We cannot say enough good things about this place, by far one of the best places we have stayed at with so many extra amenities from indoor games to outdoor games and activities. You could never be bored at this house! A great place for a couple or a family!"

"Upon arrival there was one kind lady working at the desk who was helpful, other than that our experience was HORRIBLE. The property was dirty-- like so dirty I went to Walmart across the street and got cleaning supplies and purchased an air mattress. The hotel was filthy, smelt of weed, the other staff was not helpful and seemed confused about our concerns/complaints, and the area in general felt very unsafe. It was hands down my worst hotel experience-- ever. I would not recommend this hotel for any reason."

"Cabin and property it is on is clean and well maintained. The walking trail is part of a local park so there are occasional walkers passing by on the trail. Overall it’s a good solid place to stay unless you intend to venture out beyond a one-mile radius. The surrounding area is repressed and comes with elevated risk as you pass though it. Crime rate statistics for Henderson are elevated compared to other areas in NC and I wish I would have researched it a bit more before bringing my family there. Kudos to the owner for maintaining a nice relaxing property. It’s the surrounding area that leaves much to be desired."
