Fantastic Lake Stay

Just as described in their listing, this beautiful home on the lake was a perfect spot for our small family to enjoy a peaceful getaway. We loved the natural surroundings of the lake spot and spent the majority of our stay in the water and enjoying quiet hikes nearby. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy this quiet place. The house had all the amenities described and was very comfortable.

Perfect Retreat!

Beautiful house with large, well-equipped kitchen, dining and living areas and 2 large bedrooms. Perfect for 2 couples /- 2 kids. Very comfortable and convenient! There were even a few games, which we really enjoy! The host, Pam, is very responsive. We would come back!

A beautiful home with a beautiful view of the lake. Very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing time visiting wineries and Occoneechee State Park all just about 30 minutes from the house. We will definitely book this property again.

Fantastic Stay at a Beautiful Lake House

We had an amazing time staying at this lovely lake house! The house was well-maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The quiet and peaceful area provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. We were also lucky enough to have great weather, which allowed us to fully enjoy the surroundings. The only thing we wished for was an outdoor grill, as it would have been great for enjoying meals outside. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we’d love to return again in the future!

PERFECT SPOT

House is lovely and inviting, just like the pictures. The entrance stairs are a little steep, but manageable. Very spacious, open and comfortable. Great place to spend relaxing. Close access to several state recreation areas for boat ramp. Quaint country store about 3 miles from the house with good food and milk shakes. Will definitely be going back.

Overall we had a wonderful time on the lake. The house needs some thorough maintenance as in fridge cleaning, gutters and the rotting smell which seemed to come from the garage or shrub area. And it needs a grill! We'd stay again but would be better prepared.

Ask about lake levels

Great property, very clean, beautiful view from windows in living room. If you plan on swimming from the dock or bringing your boat, make sure and ask about lake levels (or do your own research before you arrive) as the lake water level was so low when we went, the dock was not even in the water. Obviously no fault to the owner, but would be good to know before arriving to set expectations.

Hidden Gem!!

This vacation home blew my expectations out of the water!! House was stunning. I was in complete shock once I stepped into this home. The bed was by far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and the sheets and comforter were so soft and comfortable I had to look at the tag so I could order some for our own home!! The location is perfect right across from the boat ramp. We took our boat and the private dock was a big bonus !! The water was a bit high so we had to get our feet wet to get to the dock but it was fine did not make any difference! Be ware of snakes we did see one venous one that appeared to have just hatched so if your not native this type of area be sure to talk with your little ones about snakes so they don’t try and touch them. This is totally normal in NC this time of the year. We will definitely be back with our children!! Host was amazing, communication was easy and answered any questions! This is the best house I have ever rented off this site!

Kayaks included in the rental made getting on the lake super easy. It was a beautiful, peaceful trip in a secluded neighborhood. Well stocked with kitchen utensils, towels, etc.

Location was great. House was nice. Only thing was the cob webs around the house could stand to be cleaned and shower curtain needed to be changed. The clear shower curtain was stained brown at the bottom. I would stay again as those was minor things.
