The cabin is so cute! Great location! Very close to downtown Gatlinburg! It has everything you need for a wonderful family getaway! My kids loved the playroom; they didn't want to leave! Everything was fantastic! Our host, Jess, was so friendly and always responded promptly to our questions! Thank you!
We stayed here with our family of 4 and a friends family with three kids all ages 9 and under. It was perfect! Super kid friendly and so much fun. Perfect amount of space for sleeping comfortably. Kitchen was fully stocked and lots of fun outdoor play areas!
The cabin was perfect for what we were looking for, and it made me and my wife's big day better! This cabin is great if you're looking for the Smoky mountains, feel and views without the chaos of staying around pigeon forge! Townsend is a very beautiful area with lots of great restaurants.
I had a lovely stay with my family before my wedding. Beautiful retreat into nature, the house was accommodating & comfortable & clean. The kids had so much fun in the game room and running around the property. I hope to come back soon. We came from 3 states and to all stay together was such a gift. Thanks Jess!
My family and I enjoyed every bit of our trip. Cabin was nice and spacious was in a great location as well. Jess was very informative from start to end. I would definitely recommend this cabin.
The property is in a excellent location to the Smokie's. Easy to access Gatlinburg for anyone that likes the activities of town. Also very convenient to Wears valley Smokies entrance or Townsend Smokies entrance.
Overall all the family said this was the best cabin we stayed at to fit everyone's interest.
There are bears that are active so make sure you lock your doors on your vehicles because they can open them.
Nice property near Wears Valley and Townsend. Steep roads to get up to the cabin, but it would only be an issue in the winter snow or ice. Beds were comfortable, Roku TV in every room except the bunk room. Wifi kept going out for a few minutes every hour or so, but we had some cell service too, so it was not a big deal. Didn't see any bears this trip, but lots of people that signed the guest book had seen a mama bear and cubs.
We had a great time hiking in the mountains. We were greeted by a black bear the first morning. Check out was challenging, mama bear came back with her cubs and charged at us while trying to load up the car. No one was injured in the encounter. I hope we got all the trash out. We had to chase off the bear and run for the car. It was definitely a trip we will never forget. Totally awesome!
This is the best cabin to stay at whether you are in a group of adults or young children. We have kids under two years old and the cabin accommodated the Littles better than expected. I had a high chair available and a gate to off the staircase on the main floor, which was a lifesaver! The downstairs is nearly soundproof from the main floor and upstairs bedrooms and we had no problem being loud and not waking up the babies . Kitchen was fully stocked with anything we would need and check is was a lot easier than most cabins . The wrap around porch is blocked off from the driveway and we could not have asked for a Better cabin , we will be back next year !
I honestly don’t even know where to start. The cabin and owner far exceeded all of our expectations! It was even more beautiful than the pictures…incredible views that you can’t get with a camera! The house itself was spacious and immaculately clean. The game room was fantastic for our teenage/young adult children who spent most of their down time there. The outdoor fire pit area and hot tub were a great way to relax after a long day of gallivanting around Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, both of which are a short drive from the cabin. Jess, the owner was by far the most responsive I’ve had in all my years of renting through VRBO, leading up to and during our stay she responded to everything in record time and was always friendly and helpful. If we’re ever back in TN I can only hope this property is available!
Our family needed a stress free getaway after my ex-husbands’ massive stroke in December 2022. I wanted our 3 grown children, my son-n-law, and our 3 beautiful grandchildren to make as many memories together as we could possibly fit in in a weeks time. This absolutely gorgeous, 3 story cabin was just the right fit for all of us. The grandkids and sometimes crying baby had the whole upstairs, while grandpa was able to have the main floor that was completely wheelchair accessible. The wrap around porch made for some nice quiet moments to read, to swing with the grandbabies, to play bags with grandpa, to enjoy the waterfall in the hot tub, and to chase each other. We all loved the food we cooked on the grill AND over the fire pit. And to top it all off was the family making s’mores together!
I chose this cabin for a nice little weekend getaway for my birthday, and I have to say this is one of the prettiest properties ever. I have stayed in the mountains a few times but this cabin was truly stellar. I picked this cabin in particular due to how close it was to the national park, as hiking was something I mainly wanted to do with my friends and the location did not disappoint. We were a quick 25-30 minute drive from just about all we did on the trip. The cabin had plenty of space for 8 people and was well stocked on everything you could imagine would be in a regular home. The fireplaces kept our stay nice and warm through the cold winter nights and made it a place we were excited to go back to at the end of each day. The only thing I would say to keep in mind while booking, is how close you are going to be to neighbors. However I love the seclusion that the mountains provide in general so it was no issue at all. Overall this was one of my favorite trips I’ve ever taken and I would definitely come back.
We had a great stay at Cades Cabin even with rain due to the hurricane!
Cades Cabin was perfect for younger kids (our 3 yr old and 11month old) who enjoyed having indoor and outdoor space to move about and play rain or shine. It was also great that the owner provided a baby gate for the stairs. We did not end up using the baby highchair or crib, but happy to see they were available.
My family really enjoyed the main living area where all 12 of us could sit and eat together, and when the rain let up we enjoyed a night by the fire. The outside living space is such a cozy vibe. I will miss the wrap around covered deck watching the rain with coffee in hand in the mornings. The view from the porch is blocked from the abundance of trees, but the secluded area and peace and quiet makes up for it.
When the rain poured and poured down, we were grateful to be high up on the hill away from it all!
My one and only suggestion for the property would be an addition of HOOKS for hanging laundry, coats, towels etc.
We just completed 4 day stay at Cades Cabin (Spacious Family Cabin) with our extended adult family. What a GREAT TIME! It's hard to get everyone on the same page when they are coming together from 4 states spread across the country, but Cades Cabin was exactly what we needed!
The cabin was well appointed and there was enough room for all 9 of us to be comfortable and not get in each others way. We were able to prepare and share meals together, and hang out on the wrap around porch. The hot tub, porch swing, rocking chairs and grilling areas are all on that porch and we enjoyed being outside but under cover when the afternoon rain showers rolled through. The grounds are well kept and help lend to the privacy of the property. The property is located midway between Pigeon Forge and Townsend and close to multiple attractions.
Booking Cades Cabin through VRBO was a breeze and working with the owners for reservations was easy. Everyone has that fear in the back of their head that they might not be able to get ahold of an owner or a property manager during their stay should a problem arise. I can say from experience this is not the case when it comes to Cades Cabin. Upon arrival our party experienced some issues gaining entry to the property with the security coded lock on the entry door. But a quick phone call was made and the owners had us taken care of with a new code within minutes. Honestly, we could not have asked for a better response or result. Great experience! 5 🌟
This property was wonderful. Had all the necessities of home. We absolutely loved our week here! Bears frolicking, hot tub, & plenty of space for my large family!
We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful cabin. The host always answered my questions quickly through the vrb app. We came back with wonderful memories.
We loved our stay! The location was perfect for us, close to activities but in the mountains! Super cute! Great communication with the host! We hope to stay again!! 😊
We had no problem what so ever. The location was just the right mix of being near tourist attractions in pigeon forge but also being away in the middle of the woods. We loved our campfire in the backyard and will definitely plan a trip back!
We stayed for a week for a family vacation. The location is great for Townsend, Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. The kitchen is very well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses, pots, and pans. Jess is a fantastic host.
Beautiful home, perfect location, short drive to everything!! Plenty of room and plenty of bears!! I was amazing to see a mama black bear and her 3 cubs multiple times during our stay! We loved the firepit area and had a blast playing pool! Definitely recommend this location for a wonderful Tennessee experience!
