Great location and great layout for the cabin. View was gorgeous- would be even better with some serious tree trimming, especially on the western sunset side off the master porch.
Beautiful and secluded, away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and only a 5 minute roll down the hill to all that Townsend has to offer (which is a lot and easily accessible, even during a busy October weekend). Overall, a great base camp for exploring the park and area.Amazing views of the smokies. We saw a black bear and bobcat cross the yard during our stay!
The house and property were beautiful. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook. The view from the balcony was amazing and we got to see several deer on the property. Would definitely recommend staying here.
beautiful location, great access to food, fun and the park. very quiet and peaceful!
no internet or cable, so great place to unplug and relax - accommodations readily support that.
The cabin and view was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We have stayed in many different places in TN and this was my FAVORITE! It was clean, the decor was welcoming, and surrounded by nature. We will definitely book again!
We absolutely love this cabin. The views are spectacular, the cabin is very comfortable, and it is very close to Townsend and the smokies. It is perfect for a cades cove trip, a long relaxing morning, or a movie night. We will be back soon.
We have stayed in several different cabins in Townsend, this cabin has made the top of my list. Absolutely stunning view of the mountains. The cabin is Absolutely gorgeous. I feel so fortunate to have been able to relax and soak in the beauty.
Loved the cabin! The location on private acreage so nice. Good view. Enjoyed sitting on the back screened in porch smelling the mimosa blooms, listening to the Chuck wills widow night birds. Memorable vacation! We even saw a big shiny black bear in the driveway when heading out to the cove. Awesome!
We loved our stay here and would love to stay again. Communication with Christine was seamless and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. There is a small IGA in town but we didn't need to go since we carried a lot in. The view was very nice and it was fun to watch the fog dissipate in the morning. Hiking at GSMNP was close and we especially enjoyed Middle Prong trail. Thank you for a wonderful get-away!
Very comfortable and well equipped house with a fabulous view. Windows all round make it easy to watch for wildlife. Very nicely decorated. After a day of hiking or out sightseeing we appreciated the retreat up the hill. If you are looking to cook a lot this has everything you will need. We loved the Peaceful side of the Smokies
Our stay at this cabin was perfect. We had a couple of minor issues that had to be addressed by Christine. She handled them immediately. The cabin was clean, well equipped, comfortable and secluded.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Location was exactly what we were looking for and the home itself was clean, well equipped, easy to get to while still feeling private and had amazing sunset views.
Drove into Pigeon Forge for Dollywood and Dollys dinner show and explored hiking/ waterfalls around Townsend and Gatlinburg. All easy to get to from the house.
Excellent communication from host as well.
We will be back!
First of all the cabin is absolutely beautiful. Any issues we had Christine promptly remedied. The views were amazing and Townsend is definitely the place to stay. We would love to come back in the fall and enjoy the views. If you are planning a family vacation and need some time away you can't go wrong with this cabin and location. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge but only about 30-40 minute drive away.
The steep drive up to the house yields an amazing view of the Smokies. The cabin itself is gorgeous, wood throughout. Plenty of amenities. Casual walks need to happen in the nearby, peaceful town of Townsend as the drive really is steep. But the times we did walk were rewarded with conversations with friendly neighbors. Sweet little community.
I’m always a little nervous about staying outside of a hotel but my outdoorsy family wanted to be near the Great Smoky Mountains while glamping this time. This cabin was ideal. Location in Townsend is just the right level of secluded with beautiful views. We spent most of our time at the parks and trails but enjoyed the cleanliness, spqce, kitchen and amenities at the place. I loved waking up drinking my coffee while hearing the bird songs on the deck.
Host was super kind, responsive and I could see ourselves coming back.
Unique and beautiful home. I was mostly prepared with the food we needed. Knowing what I know now, I would've packed soaps, shampoo, and laundry soap. It is only a couple miles to town, but it's not a fast trip because of the drive off the mountain. Plenty of nice places to eat. I loved Townsend - it's not a Gatlinburg. If Gatlinburg is your thing, it's not that far away. Townsend gets you out of the hustle and bustle, yet there is lots to do. Would I want to stay again - Yes.
