Lake front escape - a quiet lake front cottage with easy access to the beach

This cottage is an excellent place to escape the hustle and bustle for a quiet weekend away. The surrounding area has plenty to entertain you including wineries, golf courses, cycle trail and not forgetting the beach and lake just a stones throw away.

The cottage is well-equipped 3 bedroom with 2 bathrooms, a sun room and a spacious garden overlooking Lake Erie. There is easy access to the main beach just 1 min walk away.

The downstairs of the cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge, bathroom and a spacious and light sunroom. Upstairs there is a master bedroom overlooking the lake and two other double bedrooms, and a second bathroom. All bedrooms have queen beds and ceiling fans. In addition to the 3 queen beds, the down stairs sofa pulls out to make a double bed.

The spacious garden gives you uninterrupted views of the lake.

This is the second time we have stayed in Monique’s cottage. It is absolutely perfect for our family. Water park and play structure for the children, wineries, road side stands and restaurants for the adults and a beautiful beach nearby. We spent many evenings sitting lakefront enjoying the view and the breeze. The cottage is well equipped providing us with everything we needed.

North Lake Erie getaway

7 of us comfortably fit in this home on a beautiful lakefront property. Beach was a <5 minute walk. Wineries close by. The place was well equipped. The only suggestions would be to add more spices besides salt and pepper, and offer some shampoo/conditioner. Would definitely book again!

Colchester Getaway

A perfect summer getaway for my family! Reviews and listings were on target. Everything you would expect to enjoy the comforts of a home. The sun room was perfect to play games and to relax and listen to the sounds of the lake. Location is close to several excellent wineries and brew pubs. Would definitely return.

No beach access, other tenants on property (disruptive and rude)

Listing is completely fraudulent. "Easy beach access" includes a 3 foot drop off of a rusty step ladder onto wet slippery rocks. Completely unsafe and unusable. Luckily, there is a beach nearby so the entire trip wasn't ruined. House was messy and covered in bugs. We had to clean before we could even any of the outdoor furniture or kitchen. Host also didn't inform is until after we had passed our refundable date that there would be other tenants on the property. These tenants were loud and disruptive and rude. We also parked in the designated parking spots and our car was hit by something and caused major damage to the driver side door. Not sure what the host wanted us to do with the linens. As per her instruction we left all the linens in the laundry basket by the washer and dryer but now I'm getting additional cleaning fees for making them do "extra laundry". Overall a bad experience, save the effort and rent somewhere else.

We had super hot weather during our stay so the AC was very appreciated! All beds were very comfy, lots of space both inside and outside the cottage. The cottage had everything we needed. Amazing views and right next to the public beach!

Monique's cottage is a very cute home with AMAZING views of the lake. It can't get better. It's exactly as per the listing. The sun room facing the lake was our favorite spot, besides the fire pit outside. The main bedroom overlooks the lake too. The home has all the amenities, one can ask for and its kept clean. The property is right next to the beach too. Had a chilled out time in the cottage. Communication with Monique was very prompt too!

Great location! House is great!

House is clean, modern and well kept. Right next to beach which is very convenient. Coming in June was not prepared for the may flies. They do not bite but are annoying. BBQ in excellent shape. Hosts were great with communication. Rooms are great especially the master bedroom.

Picturesque, great for long weekends

We visited with family friends. Enjoyed the BBQ and the fire pit very much. The cottage has everything a group would need during a long weekend. There's a nearby playground as well for little guests. Be careful as the hot water in the shower was tricky for the teenagers with us. I showered easily. Monique was very quick to help with our BBQ questions. It was a very pleasant stay overall.

I personally didn’t stay, my daughters, son-in-law and my granddaughters stayed. They absolutely loved it! The weather was perfect and the Firepit was enjoyed. They thought there had been an issue with the dishwasher, for which we called Cathy.
