After sitting in an empty hammock in a common area, we were harassed by other guests who falsely claimed it was reserved, despite management confirming that common areas cannot be reserved. The situation escalated into continuous verbal abuse throughout the day and the entire weekend, including being called “stupid” for speaking English and facing xenophobic remarks toward me for being a foreigner. Management not only failed to intervene, but never apologized, sided with other guests, and allowed the situation to spiral out of control. We did not feel safe and were forced to leave early following Expedia’s guidance due to unsafe conditions.
