Nice cabin, great area

The cabin itself is well-appointed and tidy enough, not fancy but homey. The property sits on Whiteoak Creek, great to wade in. We got some tubs and had some fun bumping down the creek with our dog. When it rains the creek rises quite a bit, which made it even more fun to tube in. The Nantahala area is great, and on Wayah road you're right in the middle of it. There's plenty to do within a short drive, we had a great time whitewater rafting, fishing, and hiking in the area. The neighborhood is quiet and relatively secluded from neighboring properties. We could occasionally hear a little activity from neighbors when we were outside, but we mostly felt like we had the area to ourselves. One thing I appreciated after driving through Tail of the Dragon on the way in is that there isn't a ton of motorcycle or sports car traffic through here. I was worried about that, but this area was great, nice and peaceful. There's a screen porch on the back that I spent a lot of time on, especially as a night owl after the family went to bed. The white noise of the creek and the quiet surroundings made for a nice peaceful space to relax. I really appreciated that the cabin is pet-friendly, glad we could bring our beagle along for the trip.
