"The Hotel Metropolitan is literally located at Sendai Station. It’s easily the most convenient hotel if you arrive by train. The station features a plethora of restaurants, that every palate and price range is covered. There are two shopping centers and a Yodobashi Camers store right there. The Meteopolitan is an excellent location to base your travel around Miyagi Ken."
"Overall, the property was perfect. I would consider Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sendai a more upscale Japanese business hotel. Room was clean and modern with a good selection of amenities. It's just a short walk from Sendai Station and conveniently located near many restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, breakfast is not complimentary but there are many breakfast options in the surrounding area. I found a cheap onigiri shop just around the corner from the hotel for just 150 yen each and the portions were generous, better than the ones at the convenience stores. There is also Asaichi Market, which I recommend taking a stroll through. "
"The property has a pretty environment and has a nice view of the Matsushima bay area. It offers tasty meals with a good variety of food and beverages. Unfortunately the room that I was assigned, while has a nice view, is right next to the railway tracks with trains frequently passing. No information about the railway tracks were provided in the process of booking online, I believe Expedia should alert customers to state clearly their request for a quiet room away from the railway. The property should also consider installing double glazed windows for the rooms affected. Should I be staying for more than one night, I would request a change of rooms."
