"Amazing experience! Onsen, rooms and allover environment was superb. The meals served were carefully prepared with an exquisite presentation. Staff is very kind and helpful. They’ll shuttle you to and from Nikko station to the Ryokan as well as guide you to the bus that takes you to Keyon. falls. In addition, the Ryokan plays calming music in the hallways and reception area. Gift shop is adorable and they add a special touch to putting your name on a plaque visible at the entry way into the Ryokan. We will miss this facility and hope to return again. "

"This property was beautiful, I wish I could have stayed longer. Great kitchen, spa room with bath, everything you needed and everything felt brand new. Location was a bit out of town and was either a bus, taxi or a long walk uphill. This was my favorite property in Japan. I would definitely stay longer next time. "

"The hotel is old but historic. The rooms were ample and very comfortable. The staff was super nice and went out of our way to help us feel welcome. The location is perfect, very close to the temples and at a 5 minute taxi ride from the train station. Also walkable in half an hour or less. Breakfast was very good.
