"Facilities are good, location great for variety of activities. Good hot tub and sauna. However, the Double room at the front of the house had hair in the bed, mixed into the duvet and on the pillows. It looked like cat or dog hair and the bed hadn't been changed. The rug in the living room was hazardous and needs to be stuck down. The house in general was tired with the walls needing a touch up of paint, the conservatory was green with damp and the walls had cobwebs. The wooden floor boards were also separating which was a trip hazard and the lack of mats in the house for wet shoes from the hot tub. The mattresseses were uncomfortable. The radiator in the master bedroom made loud noises during the night, probably needs bleeding. A dressing gown had an unpleasant and suspicious brown stain! Sink in the ensuite is leaking at the bottom."

"Lovely place to enjoy a rural get away, great views. The grounds are lovely, no luck luring much wildlife into sight. Would have been nice to have a proper path around the grounds. Beds were comfortable and sound didn't penetrate into bedrooms so everyone got to stick to their own sleep schedules. The large place was warm and comfortable. Kitchen had two great ovens but little cupboard or counter space which made preparing food for a large group tricky. Plenty of seating options in the living space. Washing facilities good, though the hot water took quite a while to come through, there was enough for all of us. We would certainly consider booking again for a family gathering."

"Ideal accomodation to access everything the area has to offer. The accommodation was very clean with plenty of space to relax and prepare food. Lovely and quiet with walks nearby in carrbridge."

"When we arrived where we parked our car had poo from an animal everywhere it was difficult to not stand in and we cleaned this up ourselves. The lodge overall is lovely and cosy, perfect for our getaway and great north lodges were so accommodating when we needed to change our dates due to medical reasons. Apart from the outside it was clean and welcoming. During our stay someone did come over to check the hot tub levels and these facilities were easy to use with instructions provided. Other appliances such as the hob and Cooker were unnecessarily complex to operate and the instructions were not clear. When looking for a contact during our stay we finally found a number to help with the operation of the appliances and they responded that they were on holiday. They did advise via text answering our questions but otherwise felt very alone if we needed anything else during this time. General waste bin was full when we left but were clearly labelled which was good. Overall lovely stay."

"Lovely home, clean and tidy on arrival. Beautiful area if you are looking for a rural retreat. Given it was the festive/new year period, the house had lovely festive touches, which was appreciated. Will definitely be back."

"The house is beautiful and exceptionally well equipped. It is a lot bigger than expected and the ensuite bathroom is huge and again well built. Even with very loud Karaoke going on in the livingroom, you couldnt hear a sound in the bedroom. The water heating and pressure is excellent for the location as well. Hosts were extremely friendly and even ensured to dig out the snow so we wouldnt be stuck with our cars. Overall it was a wonderful stay. "

"Such a gem this lovely property so close to Inverness. Paul was a wonderfully gracious and helpful host amd the house was just tremendous. A currated collection of art works, furniture and collectibles made each room its own unique experience. The hot tub was a wonderful addition - one not easily found in the area. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself or a small army - we were so grateful to have so many resources at our fingertips. "
