Self-check-in and its keyless room access was seamless. Room was clean and spacious. Feel the hotel was pretty well manage🙏
Only downside was foot noise from floor above.
This hotel and its staff were fantastic, the only downsides were the frustratingly slow washing machines which could take up to 6 hours for a single load, which you must claim quickly when it is done or the hotel will trash your laundry (as they did some of mine), also the rooms were noticably dusty around the beds.
The room was smaller than what I’m used to, but it was still nice. It was clean and safe. The bathtub was a culture shock to me, but I liked being able to soak in it easily.
Overall its a pretty good property, nothing special but provided the essentials. Provided a clean and spacious room and clean beds, although the space between the toilet and the wall was very small so if you have long legs this might be a pain. Check in/out was very smooth. Didn't get to try the laundry service but its nice that its there for free for customers.
Very close to Oji station which is great and next to a few 7/11s and Family mart. Also next to a few local eateries. Since its in more of the suburbs you get more of a local feel instead of the dense and tourist-y areas closer to the heart of Tokyo.
I put 3/5 but its more 3.5/5.
The check in was later than most properties, but the check out time being late was a definite plus for us since we had a flight in the evening. The room was bigger than typical hotels, but the beds were very squeaky. The bathroom seemed a little old and faucet area needed a little more cleaning, and even though the shower having a strong water pressure was nice, the water temp. seemed to fluctuate while using.
There were enough amenities and they also had some extra in the hallway. Free use of washing machines/dryer was convenient (but be prepared to wait a long time for the clothes to dry, which is inevitable with electric dryers).
I didn't try the free light breakfast, but according to my family member, it was bad - which could've been because he went down towards the end of serving time, and can't really complain when it's free.
The hotel is close to the JR/metro station and has enough shops are restaurants around.
There is no onsite staff to help with anything but bilingual (Japanese/English) signs with clear instructions are everywhere for guests be self-sufficient -- very well done.
I booked the double-room, smoking (only option remaining) and got room 408.
What I liked:
- despite being a smoking room, the hotel did a very good job at deodorizing it (room almost didn't smell like cigarette smoke);
- free 24hr laundry (there are two machines);
- free cloak space (to lock up your luggage);
- free sauna from 9am to 5am (close for four hours between 5am and 9am) -- too bad it is only for men (my partner was disappointed);
- very close (~7min walk) to the Oji station;
- access to fresh towels at any time; and
- self check-out at 1pm!!!
What I did not like:
- room size was okay but the toilet/bath/shower was very small;
- bed was okay (frame felt weak/unstable and mattress was barely enough);
- sound easily travelled through floors -- I clearly heard the upstairs guest move the desk several times a night and it kept me awake; and
- no free access to the co-working area.
I'm so glad we stayed at this hotel ! I was unsure after reading some poor reviews. But our experience (as a couple from Australia) was excellent.Self check in was smooth. The room was spacious (compared to our 3 previous ones), very clean, modern, all room accessories toiletries etc. Smart lighting, reading light plus we had smart tv with Netflix ! Not sure if we just got lucky, but our tv remote had a Netflix button and an open log in. Great to find and watch some English shows in the evening.
Breakfast was fine -I had read some reviews complaining but we like eating local foods plus to me, any breakfast provided is a bonus.
Location was superb. Easy walk to Oji Metro, exit 4 closest. Loads of shops, Daiso, eateries, convenience stores around. But best was a local supermarket (my basket) just at one end of the lane, bordering a park.
We found great local attractions nearby and walked to most. There is a cute Fox inari shrine nearby and souvenier shop. We did actually walk all the way to Kyu-Furukawa Gardens, via another great park.
We also used metro, Namboku line and the interchange Karukaen station to switch to red Marunochi line which went everywhere!
Hotel was safe, quiet. Simple checkout via tablet in your room. Microwave in hallways. Great washing/drying free. Plus a self securing luggage storage if you arrive early or want to collect your luggage later after checkout. Not one complaint. Thank you !
This hotel had some interesting things going for it. First of all, the rooms are spacious at that price point and for a 23 ward hotel. There is a sauna (mens only, didn't try it) and some meeting rooms that can be booked for a cost. That coworking space is extremely clean and well designed.
Speaking of design, the rooms are very basic and could use a bit more furnishing (carpets? cupboard? side table? etc...).
The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is functional and all amenities are provided.
There's a desk in the room, good wifi but no USB outlets, so make sure you have your power bricks.
In the morning, complimentary breakfast is available: soup and rice. But the hotel is close to a department store (Tobi) as well as countless convenience stores.
There are also two washing+drying machines available that might save your stay...
Since there is no reception desk, you will have to lock your early arrival / late departure luggage. Keep it in mind.
I will definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Tokyo! The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Early check in was easy and worth the additional cost
Great place to stay for 2 nights. Anything more might become an issue to some guests due to having no room service to clean up and make the bedsheets for any stay longer than 2 nights.
