"Terrific location; enormous, comfortable rooms (especially the “roomy” suites). The suites are great for socializing. Beautiful rooms and very well appointed, decorated, and updated. The staff was excellent. The only downside is that it’s an old property that seems to have mold/mildew issues (you can smell it and even see it on the window frames)."

"It was a beautiful place- wonderfully decorated- amazing kitchen- only 2 issues- no general sitting area- and my adult son- who I was visiting in Richmond, was not allowed to even step inside- I get not wanting a bunch of people- but to not even let him inside seemed a little unreasonable- because of that- I wouldn't stay again- if you have no one you are visiting- it would be really nice"

Cozy, Spacious Home Downtown Close to Night Life

"This place was so close to most everything that was on our list to see do and eat. We walked to many of the places. This is in an old brownstone so it had high ceilings and plenty of room to spread out. Furniture was new, clean and modern. We had our pup with us and there were plenty of different ways to walk him. It is on the corner of a very busy intersection so we did have to watch crossing the street very carefully. The traffic noise was not too bad inside especially where the bedrooms were. You do indeed get the full house but there is a tenant in the basement. But she was very quiet and we didn't even know she was there. The beds had loud mattresses covers that I do not love which made the sheets slip and slide around and get bunched up. The mattresses were also a bit giggly so my husband and I took separate rooms which helped. That was really my only complaint. Over all a good, large place to stay with nice character and in a convenient location."

"We stayed here for two weeks and had a fantastic experience! The apartment is compact but highly efficient, sparkling clean, and features a fantastic bathroom. We used the kitchen every morning for breakfast, and having a generous supply of laundry detergent for the in-unit washer/dryer was a huge plus for a longer stay.The Church Hill location is incredibly walkable, though we also made great use of our rental car. The neighborhood dining is unmatched. We enjoyed a memorable anniversary dinner at Grisette, excellent drinks at Alewife and Emerald Lounge, and a lovely outdoor dinner at The Hill Cafe. We also highly recommend visiting Garnett's in The Fan neighborhood, especially for their happy hour! Another major highlight of our trip was catching some baseball. We absolutely loved going to see the Richmond Flying Squirrels play and went to two games. The new CarMax Stadium is an incredible, high-energy venue and a ton of fun.Communication with the host was excellent, and check-in/out was seamless. As a small piece of constructive feedback for long-term stays: we did have to buy extra toilet paper, so future guests might want to pack a few extra rolls. That minor detail aside, this is an excellent, well-managed place to stay in Richmond. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely stay here again!"
