Toa Baja Pueblo Hotels, San Juan

"The location is great- next to the Caribe Hilton. The room was large with a nice balcony overlooking the lagoon. Great to have a kitchenette. The blanket was like another sheet - very thin. Bathroom is showing its age a bit- as are the hallways. Staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was a couple of bagels or a pre-made cereal bowl with some overripe bananas or grapes - not impressive. They do offer 15/night parking at a garage a block away. Way better than the Caribe Hilton parking prices. "

"First, the staff is outstanding. upon arrival Dylan checked us in. This young man was professional but more importantly super friendly. He provided us with great information about the local neighborhood and some super dining recommnedations. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Room has all the basics a traveler would need. The downsides to staying at this hotel range from the overpriced drinks and food to the resort fee added to the end of the stay bill. A gin & tonic was $18.00 as opposed to a well crafted cocktail in Old San Jaun was $15.00. The pool area is nice but very small. Most chairs are not in the sun for a good portion of the day. The area being small, it was difficult to find chairs, especially when the hotel allows cruiseship guest to rent out cabanas (not in the sun). Then the cruiseship guest take pool chairs as well. Given the limited pool area it is unclear what the resort fee is for. Very disappointing overall. The best part of our stay was the staff! "

"We loved our stay! The one bedroom with kitchen was perfect for our family of 4. Pool was big with enough space for everyone. Beach was gorgeous, pretty wavy/dangerous for swimming if untrained. Activities were great, workout area was great and never too busy. Restaurant was also good when we ate/drank there. We loved the ground floor room with walkout to pool area. Construction was a minor annoyance, not bad. They also had an issue with fire alarms going off at night- but did reimburse our resort fee for those days. Overall we would gladly stay again. "

"Not very clean and bathroom faucet was not installed correctly, but did offer a kitchenette and laundry, but we did not use either. Much of the furniture was worn /damaged and we had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed."
