Timbavati is a free-standing, very spacious, two bedroom open plan studio, with elevated ceilings, timber floors, ceiling fans and air-conditioning.
With a well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and wide balcony that has been tastefully decorated, Timbavati is the perfect destination for a cosy winter escape, or summer getaway.
In the colder months, enjoy a coffee and pastry from the renowned Harvest cafe and bakery, just minutes up the road, then sit back with a good book, or watch the mist rise from the dam.
You can also enjoy a bushwalk and a swim at the beautiful Killan Falls, just one kilometre away. Whilst you're there, be sure to also check out the ancient fig tree, or the eroded rock that has formed an impressive cave behind the 10 metre waterfall.
Beaches and major towns like Ballina, Byron Bay and Lennox Head are only 15-20 minutes away. Ballina airport is 15 minutes away and the Gold Coast airport is just a 45 minute's drive.

Nice house, driveway 4wd access only

The house was lovely, the driveway down to the house is no good. We were only told about the 4wd access the day before we arrived. My father is on a walking stick which made access extremely challenging, I suggest a stairway from the top carpark. My only complaint it should be in the write up when you are booking in. Other than that a really pretty spot.

Nice Getaway

A lovely cottage feel in a nice location for a few days getaway. Other comments about the view being a bit blocked by trees and the driveway being steep and rocky are pretty accurate - but still a lovely few nights in a beautiful part of the world

A clean, spacious, comfortable house

The house is newish, nicely decorated and everything worked perfectly except for a few downlights. Wifi was good, shower was excellent and lovely comfy beds with nice bedding. No issues whatever with the house itself, except there's no dishwasher even though advertised. It's a shame that the potentially fabulous view from the balcony is marred by a tree that almost blocks it entirely. Bit of trimming would improve the outlook enormously. The access is frankly scary - down a very steep, rocky, uneven driveway which I wouldn't attempt in a non-4WD or any vehicle with low clearance. It desperately needs a grader and a proper surface. Also there was no signage or instructions on arrival at the address to indicate where the house actually is. It took a few wrong turnings before we found it (you take the left-hand fork off the driveway and keep going down, down to the very bottom).
