"This is my overall pick for Cape Town, South Africa. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and just spoiled rotten. The hotel was very clean from the dining areas and rooms to the gym facility. I can't rave enough about this place! The food was incredible! Definitely 5 star quailty on everything. "

"Our stay started off a bit rocky with several issues like our sheets being a bit dirty and key not working. However the Sovn team was quick to address these and they even compensated us with an extra day in one of their presidential suites and comping our laundry! Overall the property lovely, all the staff were great and super helpful, and the location was excellent with a little over 10 min walk to the beach. Would recommend for anyone staying in camps bay"

"Very good location and next to the beach"

"We stayed here for 13 nights as a multi generational family. Two air conditioning units were installed in the two main bedrooms earlier this year at our request and we were so thankful for that. Unfortunately, two more of the front bedrooms didn’t have air con & were unbearably hot! It was 37 degrees the day we arrived, and the portable fans just didn’t do anything to cool those two rooms. My two year old granddaughter was in one of them, and we couldn’t get the room to cool down below 31 degrees, so we had to bring her into our room for several days - not ideal. My son, his wife & 1 year old were in the other front bedroom without air conditioning, and they found it impossible to get a good nights sleep for many of the nights we were there. They were almost at the point of trying to get a hotel somewhere. We ended up using blankets, taped onto the guttering and railings to make shade sails outside the rooms, on the balcony. I have since spoken with Charl, the house manager, and I’m told that two more air con units will be fitted this month. The house is spacious & has several different outside areas for eating and relaxing, with lovely views. Kitchen is well equipped. The area is very nice & we felt safe & secure at the house. Philly, the house keeper is delightful & very helpful. We used Ubers to get around, which were reliable & reasonably cheap."

"South Beach Hotel is ideally located close to the main shops and restaurants but far enough away to be in a quiet environment. The staff are very professional and friendly. The rooms are modern and very clean. The facilities are great. Each apartment has a kitchen and a well stocked fridge. Fresh pastries and bread are delivered daily in the morning. There is a well kitted out gym and easy to use laundry room. The pool areas are clean and comfortable with a good supply of fresh towels. The pool bar plays cool music and overlooks the main beach area of Camps Bay. Security is taken seriously but not overly intrusive. We could tell our safety was important to the hotel. We would definitely recommend South Beach Hotel."

"Had a lovely experience at the hotel. Everything was perfect but what really stood out for me was the professionalism and friendliness of literally all the staff. From the courteous reception staff, the ladies at the other desk who where very kind and patient in helping me with suitable tours to book, the cleaners who were always very polite and friendly and the staff at the outdoor areas who where just exceptional as this is where I spent most of my time at the hotel. Thank you all and hope to see you again 😊"
