"Absolutely amazing facility. By far the best we found in Iceland. Beautiful surroundings. Great staff. Delicious food. Highly recommended!"
"Very clean room with amazing views. Quiet location. There are no shops nearby but the hotel is a 20 min walk away. Best to come prepared with food options. There is a fridge but no real storage, not a problem for us but might be for some.

"Wonderful spot! Excellent location, plenty to do nearby and a very nice hike that starts right from the property. Service was exceptional and very friendly. Responsive and quick to help with any issues that arise. Would highly recommend!"
"Very nice cottage. Clean and we enjoyed our night there. A bit pricey for my taste but it met our needs. The check in process is weird. You have to drive to a completely different location to check in and then drive to the cottage with the code to get the key to get into the cottage. Not sure why they made it more difficult than it has to be. Otherwise everything else was fine."
"Free parking, though the car park filled up in evening and had to park in unmarked area (checked ok with reception). The hotel has several buildings so don't unload vehicle until checked in. Their website does warn you about no elevators in the main building.
The room was fine for a night. Bed comfortable and black out curtains that covered the window!! Bathroom is a little tight with old style shower curtain and bath combination but no problem for us.
Breakfast was a reasonable range of items. The staff were very efficient in cleaning and clearing tables whilst ensuring items didn’t run out.
Hofn has several places to eat in addition to the hotel restaurant and a couple of fuel stations for topping up."
