The beach is beautiful!"
Waves Resort & Spa, Barbados, An Autograph Collection® All-Inclusive Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at Waves. The property was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The staff were truly amazing from beginning to end. From the front desk to the beach staff, everyone was friendly, helpful, and attentive.
The beach staff were especially helpful when we wanted to sign up for jet ski activities. They made the process easy and were happy to answer our questions. The beach and pool ambassadors were also fantastic throughout our stay, consistently checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed.
The beachfront location was the true gem of our stay. Being able to walk out onto our balcony and enjoy a beautiful, true beachfront view made my birthday feel that much more special. Having the beach literally right outside the hotel was something we really appreciated.
We also loved the spa and adults only section. The pool was a great size, our massages were wonderful, and we even enjoyed complimentary poolside massages during our stay, which was such a nice unexpected touch.
The drinks were good, and overall we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the opportunity to relax and enjoy the property.
What Could Be Improved
The biggest area for improvement was definitely the food. It wasn't bad, but it was just okay"
"I have been to the crane about 5 times and everytime I visit I fall deeper in love with this resort. It’s clean, beautiful and the people are amazing they go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is great. I appreciate that there’s always a kitchen in the rooms. My only complaint is the lighting as a woman who does her makeup every night on vacation, better lighting would be phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back the food, pools and beach are all 10 out of 10."
"We were guests of sugar bay for three nights in late August. Overall, the experince was positve. The location is ideal, food was good, and staff was generally helpful. But there were some things for improvement. I wasn't aware that you could only make a reservation to premium dining once for every three nights. I wish this was more explicit in the booking. Also,"
"We had a fantastic stay with our family of four, including two younger children. The rooms were spotless and were cleaned daily. The staff was incredibly accommodating and always greeted us with a warm “hello” or “good morning.”
The pool area was a highlight of our stay. Aaron, Joshua, and Jose at the bar were incredibly friendly and engaged in great conversations with everyone. The atmosphere at the pool bar was truly island-like.
However, there were a couple of things that were beyond the resort’s control. The beach was covered in seaweed, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the gym was closed for a few days because the AC unit broke. Still 5 stars."

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed 6 nights (August 21st-August 27th) as Diamond Club members. From the second we arrived, we felt like we could exhale! We felt like we were on vacation immediately. We received professional, attentive service and check-in was pretty quick and seamless. Our Butlers (Michael, Chaddo, and Taneah) were excellent!! They were always available and responsive and addressed everything we asked for. But I want to also acknowledge that all the staff we encountered on the resort were super nice and helpful. The food at the resort was good! It's true only 2 of the 4 restaurants were open each night - but you can only eat at one at a time anyway. We really liked Kai Asian Fusion as our favorite. The beach was AMAZING! Beautiful. It is big enough and there are plenty of lounge chairs and beach service is very decent. The water is clear, warm and there is excellent snorkeling right at our beach (a lot of boat tours come and dock in the water in front of the resort to let snorkelers do their thing because it’s such a good spot). The roof pool and main level pool were very nice as well. The nighttime entertainment was pretty good but ends early. The weather was fantastic - hot, but not humid. It is a 1-minute walk into Holetown and there are great places to explore and lots shopping, a grocery store is like a 5 minute walk. We ate at Tides in town our last night - and it was so good and so memorable. The only thing I would say is that the Royalton could improve is"
