"Great place to stay if you are a real ale buff, as there were plenty to choose from. A place with a little history. Would definitely stay there again. "

"Rooms was very clean and whilst no frills it had all of the amenities available anyone could need, including for cooking. Safe free parking was ideal. The location of the hotel is excellent. Just beside is the Zoo and Castle. The town centre is a short walk as is The Black Country museum"

"Very good location for visiting family in Harborne, free parking available, lovely evening meal in the bar, reception for check in over road from Peter Scott House but literally a 2 minute walk"

"Incredible building and great bar with nice offer of savory snacks (crisps, sandwiches, sausage rolls) as well as a great choice of beers. Room was large and well equipped- lovely tray. All details considered for a comfortable stay (including ear plugs provided - our room was at the front and the traffic was fairly heavy). Nice modern bathroom with good shower. The only slight disappointment is that for such a big room, the bed was just a standard double. The room would fit a bigger bed, and I think that would make it feel more worthy of the price point. Would stay again but would request a quieter room at the back next time. We left early, so didn't get to try the breakfast unfortunately. "
"It is a place I would be delighted to revisit on my next trip to Birmingham. The atmosphere was very peaceful, which I greatly appreciated. Entering the building was straightforward, thanks to the provided code. Throughout my stay, I had no need to raise any concerns with the host. The room was generously sized and equipped with an iron, tea, and coffee. Conveniently, there were food shops nearby: I had hoped to cook in the kitchen, but I discovered that I would need to have my own pot. There were no interruptions during my stay, and I valued the privacy. Regarding cleanliness, I would rate it a 9 out of 10, with some improvement needed in the microwave and toilet. However, the overall cleanliness was still "excellent." The host responded to my messages promptly, especially considering my late check-in."
"Great value for money, staff are warm and welcoming. The entire hotel is being renovated on a shoestring. Fixtures and fittings are low quality. Most rooms have really good, clean showers.
Ideal for workman or a crash pad for a night in Stourbridge. Brilliant central location "
"We had a great stay. Everything was perfect and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and communicative before we came up.
We will definitely use again, next time we come up and stay!"
