Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at!
I have traveled to over 45 countries and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It was just perfect. The staff is truly the best overall staff, with excellent training and management. The hotel manager Ahmed was magnificent, and I would try to hire him if I had a hotel. I’ve never seen a manager was hands on and prepared. He was so kind to us and our family. He thought of everything. The hotel itself is enchanting. It was worth it!

From the moment you walk in, you will smell an extremely strong perfume like scent. This scent will be severe on each floor and in your room. I complained that the hotel smells like a “perfume museum” and it’s so strong that one can’t breathe in their room. The staff agreed and moved me to another floor where the scent was less. The next day the housekeeping staff again sprayed all the floors with this scent and it’s not tolerable. The staff stated that this is the hotel signature smell and the property was designed to smell like that. So, if you like overly strong perfume to be sprayed in to the central ventilation system to the point where you can’t breathe and your sinuses will be agitated and so is your central nervous system, stay here. I personally do not want to stay in a hotel where I can’t breathe cause the staff sprays some horrible perfume in the entire hotel. I seriously considered leaving early and moving hotels and losing my prepaid reservation until I was moved to a closed section where staff didn’t spray this god awe full perfume.

Nice hotel, but could work on customer service
Worst first experience from a five star hotel I have ever experienced. We took at taxi from Ben Gurion airport during rush hour (over an hour) and the driver didn't know the exact entrance to the hotel (it's not very obvious or well marked). Instead, he dropped us off per our request by a side entrance and a guard. The guard proceeded to yell at the old taxi driver and told us NOT to tip him and that he was a bad driver. He then proceeded NOT to help us with our bags or have someone come out to help us. Just sat back down with a scowling disposition. I've been to Israel multiple times and I know customer service isn't like other parts of the world, but for a hotel of this class and price, my first interaction with the hotel staff should be a little bit better than that. They should take some notes from the Mamila in Jerusalem. Otherwise, the hotel is beautiful, well maintained, clean, and comes with a completely ordinary daily israeli breakfast with mediocre service.

Very noisy room
The Jaffa is located in a great area. The service at the restaurant was wonderful. However, room 415 is facing a busy street and the windows are not sealed. Be prepared to hear cars at all hours of the night with loud music blasting. I traveled with my family and we could not sleep until after 2am and the noise started up again at 6am. I informed the front desk so hopefully they have made the effort to seal the windows.

The staff was very good. The concierge, in particular, went the extra mile to help. My travelling companion left her Apple watch in a remote town. The concierge spent a lot of time contacting the other hotel and arranging to ship the watch back to the US. Amazing help. The food is excellent and the hotel is an oasis of tranquility in bustling Jaffa. Great location.

This is a beautiful and well run property. Our second stay here, it should be named Oasis because that defines its position in bustling Jaffa. An excellent choice.

A gem in Jaffa
The hotel is beautiful and carries an atmosphere of a historical sight. Though It's terrain is not very large, the design takes full advantage of it's possibilities and advantages, creating beautiful spots and corners. The service was impeccable.

Disgraceful customer service in an amazing hotel
My husband got a sick after eating a sandwich from the hotel poll restaurant and we had to leave a day earlier because of it. Till this point, everything was great - the hotel is beautiful with very high standards and the staff gave us excellent service. From this point it went wrong with a customer service representative i had to chaise to get answers and yelled at me on a phone call that "i am just one of this people that wants to complain on line" after i was asking about something he wrote he will send me by e-mail and he didn't. After getting this disgraceful treatment, we will not return to this hotel ever again.

Beautiful property in Yafo area of Tel Aviv. Near port and flea market and quick walk along water to south Tel Aviv. Rooms are sleek and gorgeous. Chapel Bar is stunning. Excellent hotel.

Best hotel in Israel !
Best hotel in Israel !! And I have seen some of the best... Great atmosphere in this amazing oasis in the heart of Jaffa this heaven exist with great rooms occupied with all you need. Great balcony view pointing the sea, extra large bad! Restaurant and food in whole was high level with great service and the pool was spectacular. We will be back for sure !

An excellent addition to Israel’s hotel offer.
Having read about the Jaffa in The Times we decided to try it out. It fully matched our expectations. The architecture of the hotel is sensitive to its heritage with a clever blending of historic and new. The finishes were of a high standard. The staff were well trained and helpful to a good international standard, a good reflection on Marriott. The restaurant offered a great experience, good variety and food well prepared. Bedrooms were thoughtfully designed, comfortable and finished to a high standard. Altogether a most enjoyable and interesting experience and a most worthwhile addition to the hotel offer in Israel.
