Scam alert

Well. I guess it was my fault to book a property that does not have reviews. I haven't been to Georgia for 30 years and I brought my 2 kids from USA to see the Caucasus. I did send a message in advance to the owner with my flight info and the date of arrival. When we arrived at the place, owner was standing in his courtyard in his underwear, and his wife was surprised to see visitors at her home. She told me that she canceled my booking, then she told Vrbo that she has no access to her booking. I did pay them in advance; there was no cancellation on her behalf. Bank of America credit card refunded my money when I complained, but that's not the point. I am just sad because I love and respect Georgia, but I am viewed as just another tourist with thick wallet.
