The Bach Is a well appointed holiday home in the Old Wharewaka area of Taupo. The bach is set up for families with a well fenced yard ensuring the safety of your little people, board games and some outdoor games available also. There is also the space for older children/teenagers in the garage with a second tv to use for movies or gaming and means you can all have some space on those dreaded rainy days. Whilst this is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house there is a set of bunks and another bathroom in the garage for over flow. The Wharewaka Reserve and its north facing beach are only 3-4 minute walk away and include a large children's playground. The beach area is very suitable for swimming, and launching small sail boats, kayaks or stand up paddle boards. A boat ramp at 3 Mile Bay is close-by for launching larger boats, and the Lions Walk/bike way can take you all the way back to Taupo township. The rainbow point shops, the Landing, with ten pin bowling, mini golf, bar and cafe, two mile bay Sailing Club are all within walking distance making it a perfect location to enjoy the peace and quiet of old Wharewaka with the added bonus of being able to get out and about if you feel the need. Taupo township is a 10-12 minute drive away, with many restaurants and cafes, hot pools, and plenty of other entertainment options. Whether you are looking for some adrenalin pumping adventure, such as a bungee jump, jet boat ride, or trip to the mountain (90 minutes drive away), or something a bit more mellow, like a hike or peaceful trout fishing. Or to just enjoy time by the lake or on the deck with a drink this is a great location for how ever you choose to holiday. This is a family home in a quiet residential area, not suitable for large groups of adults. Disruption to the neighbours will not be tolerated. Strictly no parties, a few quiet drinks is fine but you must be respectful of the property and its neighbours. When making a booking request please ensure you have read the listing details and house rules carefully for suitability. Please include information on your group, what brings you to Taupo and who is travelling with you.

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES If we are notified of parties or illegal activity you will be evicted and are liable for any damages to the property. We have a strict no party policy (large groups, hens, stags etc.) and do not allow functions or large gatherings. The guest named on the booking is responsible for the property for the duration of the stay and must take all reasonable care of the house. Respect for neighbours regarding noise and cars must be considered, we reserve the right to terminate the contract without refund if we receive complaints. All guests are your responsibility so please take care and parental supervision is required for all children at all times, especially around stairs, balconies, water and fires. The holiday home is not to be used as a function venue, events or activity that involve a larger number of people than stated on the maximum occupancy. This property is privately owned, please treat it with respect and if an incident/damage happens, report it ASAP so it can be repaired or replaced. For damages be aware that your credit card will be charged for the repair or replacement plus a 10% handling fee. The property must be left reasonably clean and tidy, ensuring all furniture and appliances are returned to where they were on arrival. If you use the BBQ it must be left clean, if not a $35.00 fee will be charged for cleaning. ALL rubbish must be removed from the property on departure and cannot be left curb side unless you are vacating on collection day; failure to do this will result in a minimum charge of $40.00 for labour and council disposal fees. The property must be left secure and safe upon your departure. Please check all windows, doors and appliances including heaters, electric blankets, elements, and sockets before you leave the property. Please note there is no spa at the property.

Incredible host, so helpful and quick to reply. Home was lovely, I stayed with my 3 boys and my parents. Very well equipped, everything we needed, clear instructions and accurate information about the house. Kids toys was a bonus. Lovely bedding and comfortable beds. My dad even escaped the chaos of the kids and retreated to the garage for his own little hideout!!! Perfect stay, thanks so much

Very quiet location, tidy house with everything we needed. Would recommend as a base to explore Taupo and the surrounding region...

We stayed in this delightful house . The location was great short drive to town, super market close, 3 minute walk to beach . Recommend the home to any Family .
We had an excellent stay here, the place was clean, tidy and had everything you could possibly need at a holiday Bach. Locations was great, outdoor area connected well and had lots of sun. The parking up the driveway was also useful. Check in and out was made simple.
We really enjoyed your beautifull home to make our son 10th birthday more special. Warm house and kids loved all the games ! Thanks heaps for having us to stay, will definitely be back again in the furure. Love Taupo and the Landing was awesome advice, great area to stay in
We had a great few days at this bach. Very quiet street. Good bbq and deck for an evening drink. Close to boat ramp and walk to lake. The sleep out was great for our older son. As was having an extra shower etc out there. Big grass verge in front to park boat, and could easily accommodate 2 vehicles in driveway..easy to communicate with host.would recomend.
Great little property for our weekend in Taupo. Great for kids, fully fenced and lots of games and toys to entertain the kids. Big new entertainment/cafe place called the landing about a 2min drive away, had great cafe and an entertainment Centre for kids etc. Also new supermarket like 2mins drive in the other direction. Nice warm house close to lake
We loved this little property! It was nice and clean and had a lovely deck for outdoor eating. The garage was really good for storing our bikes. And we loved having air conditioning, as it was super hot when we stayed and also liked the ceiling fan in the main bedroom to keep the room cool at night. Our daughter enjoyed sleeping on the top bunk and playing with some of the toys that were there. It was in a great location for a short bike ride to the playground and lake for water activities or a lovely walk.
Very warm and great location with lake and playground so close by. Plenty of kitchen tools/ equipment. Contacted property manager early with a couple of concerns. She suggested bringing own duvet covers as well as own sheets, towels etc. However I believe a check between guests of duvet covers and spares kept by manager or cleaner would be a more acceptable solution.
