"Although the parking was not on site, it was immediately across the road and free. In terms of getting to the old town, the location was excellent, just a 10 minute easy stroll. In the other hand, in the 40 years of travelling around the world, and particularly in Europe, I have never been allocated such a small room - which had no view at all. I don’t expect too much when I am simply looking to get a decent night’s sleep, but this did feel claustrophobic. "

"Nice hotel but a bit dated. The pool was nice. The location is great. Lovely walk into the town centre. There is no air conditioning so had to have to balcony doors open and it was quite noisy. The main issue was the fold down bed was missing 2 slats right in the middle which made it very uncomfortable. Mentioned it to the staff in the morning and didn’t even get an apology - they just noted it down. Good, extensive breakfast. Bad Mergentheim is a lovely town - highly recommend a visit. "

"Beautiful old building in a very good area. The attached restaurant was very good. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Parking was convenient. The room itself was pretty good - fairly dated and non descript, the bathroom shower was leaking and the tub was high off the ground, and the shampoo was empty but we were only there 1 night so not a huge deal. The beds were comfortable and we liked that the beds that sleep 4 were separated into 2 spaces. "

"The basic room was very nice, the location was great, and the bed was comfortable, however the check-in staff were, while very friendly, not terribly fluent in English and messed up our desire to have breakfast at the hotel, as a consequence we were served a very lackluster breakfast after having to wait 15 minutes with zero on the tables, them not thinking there would be anyone that day. "Lovely hotel, feels very home-like. Lots of spaces in the shared open garden to sit, relax, eat or drink something. Our kids loved the place, we used it as our base to explore the region. Good breakfast, some good restaurants at walking distance. Lovely staff"
