"The good, the bad and the ugly. The good: this property is in a very beautiful area. The views are great and it was really quiet. The bad: There is poorly stocked convenience store on site. They basically had chips and drinks a few other items. The reach in coolers and gas pumps were not working. And there was a vending machine with cigarettes that looks like it’s been there since the 80s. The hours of the not-so convenient store were pretty bad as well. On Saturday morning they didn’t open until 9 am but I guess it really didn’t matter since their breakfast food selection was geared towards kids under 10. The ugly: The facilities are showing signs of decay. For example, the cabin that I was in has some of the “logs” rotting as well as the railings. The toilet was rocking back and forth, the mattress must have been 10 years old because it had a huge dip in it. On top of that, their internet was extremely slow if at all and the tv in the room was purely for decoration. Lastly, they expect you to take the trash out. And the water pressure is terrible."

"The place was awesome! We stayed in what they call “The Farmhouse”. It had a kitchen, separate living room, large bedroom and bathroom with a full walk-in shower. It was so clean! Parking just outside the door!"

"It’s in the center of town. The room came with breakfast which was very good considering its limited space. The staff was the best part, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. "

"The VRBO was perfect for our trip. It is a beautiful home that was the cherry on our trip. It is only a few minutes from Bandara, but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The host is very responsive, and his instructions were spot on. I am definitely thinking of a second booking."

"The place was everything we needed for a large family gathering. We come often to this area and it was one of the best. We would stay here again. The accommodations were perfect but the communication and response from the host was off the charts beyond expectations. "

"Family friendly. Spacious. Easy check-in / check-out process. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, deck, and barndominium! Rooms and beds were comfortable! We enjoyed the location to go and do some exploring and hiking in the lake bed. Neighborhood was quiet at night and even saw some wildlife (deer, foxes, hawks) while we were there! We did have an issue with the washer (balancing issue and never fully removing excess water). One of the oven knobs was broken and could not use that burner. Stove took a little bit longer to heat up. Also, there is only 1 trash bin and we had people take trash and dump it since trash pick-up is only once a week and we did not want to get charged an "excess trash fee". Pool cleaner came Monday instead of Thursday, but was quick and efficient.One enhancement would be a heated pool, but the pool was lovely and enjoyed!Overall a great stay! We had 12 people and it fit us very comfortably! I would recommend for family gatherings!"
