Stayed 3 nights. Very noisy from street noise and kids upstairs. The room was on corner intersection and had an open air vent to the street which captured traffic noise early in morning and everyone walking by and kids running around at night. Tiled floors get dirty and wet easily from showers and beach. They said they would service the room but only brought some new towels left the garbage and bed unmade and floor dirty. I was charged $10/night extra for a microwave and $20 for the third night. The day before I was told I could extend at the same price? She explained this was dynamic pricing! microwaves must an expensive luxury commodity in Hervey Bay! The TV was very small and had a shadow across half the screen. I assume because it just came into school holiday season and demand was high the staff were dismissive of any issues. My friend also booked a room and when I enquired about them extending also I was told room 61 was available for 2 nights which he could have at the same price. When he checked in another person told him there was no room available for two nights and he would have to move and pay more. There is also the annoying one page disclaimer you have to sign on checkin as well as leaving a credit card imprint. I stay in many hotels all over the world and this type of customer experience spoils the holiday vibe.
