Helpful and friendly staff. My room was clean although there was a odour but this was dealt with efficiently. Great location very close to the metro, bakeries and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this hotel if you are wanting somewhere close to the city but still want a quiet, relaxing place to sleep.

The hostel was clean and well equipped for all needs. Apart from an issue with a wet bathroom floor, which was rectified with a reasonable time frame, I had no complaints. Staff responded professionally and promptly to all communications.

I’m from Canada and recently stayed at this hostel for the first time. Overall, it was a great experience. Before I arrived, they sent me a detailed email with all the check-in info, which was super helpful after a long trip. My room was tidy with a comfy bed and fresh linens. The folks I shared the room with were generally respectful — sure, a few backpacks and clothes lying around, but that’s pretty normal for a hostel. The shared kitchen had everything I needed to whip up breakfast or make tea, and the showers were surprisingly clean with plenty of hot water — a big plus. The location’s also really convenient, close to transit, which made getting around the city easy. Price-wise, it’s very reasonable for what you get. If I had to nitpick, it would have been nice to have someone from the staff greet me on arrival and give me a quick tour. Still, I felt safe and welcome the whole time. I’d definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to other travellers.

There was coming so much noise from inside the hotel, don’t know what is was but sounded like they were building something or throwing around with furniture. The aircondition could only make the roomer colder, so it was freezing inside. When I tried to turn the machine off for a few hours to make the room more warm, water flooded from the machine onto the floor. The bathroom was nice. It was very hard to hear the people from the reception as you have to check in and out of the hotel through a screen

Good locatoon for exploring sydney. Hostel itself did not look like the pictures at all, room was very small cramped and dingy with the one window covered. No air con just a fan that kept breaking. Cleaners dont seem to clean bathroom which is needed. Not a particularly friendly hostel either but that is more about the people, not the owners.

This is a lovely 19th century building that has much charm and unique details. I love the plank flooring. Sunny & bright. I found it very quiet. The stage is extremely helpful. I had one issue and it was resolved in minutes! Also the security is 100% operational. I do recommend this property.

It’s a basic hostel centrally located in Surrey Hills Sydney. There is no reception or concierge most everything is done online so it takes several minutes for them to respond.
