"Definitely a must . From the front desk to the maintenance people really friendly and helpful.. There was some weather issues but they keep in touch the whole way. we stay in the Tree House Clean,enough space for a family of 4 , Has it's own little kitchen withch is so convenient for us with tiny kids Private enough we didn't have to worry about bothering others.. If you are looking for views this is not the place since is on the back of the property. It was great for us.. we loved it."

"Quaint and comfy cottage and you can't beat the view. An added bonus was the pods of dolphins we watched in the morning from the deck. We also rented a golf cart for the week and had a blast exploring the island. Cottage was very clean and well stocked. Communication with Debbie was excellent. Overall, a great place to stay on Ocracoke."

"Our stay at Silver Lake was wonderful, Hanna & John were perfect hosts and have done a great job with renovating both the hotel and The Jolly Roger! The room was spacious and well appointed with all needs met. The newly added rockers and side tables on the porch were enjoyable and the resort Bicycles made getting around a fun experience."

"So clean you wouldn't know it is pet friendly! We came to Ocracoke for my brother's wedding, during the stay high winds kept us stranded on the island. Ellen had messaged letting us know, which I thought was super thoughtful, the last ferry for a couple days was leaving. Unfortunately, this all happened on the wedding day but my brother still got married in the storm. My mom who was with us, was super stressed but not because any rental concerns. Ellen had quickly worked it out and no matter what we would have a place to stay. She was more than accommodating, working with us on a plan for the unexpected couple days. We spent the last couple nights in the Charter another of her rentals. Property was very nice and sizable for a bigger families. Ellen is an exceptional Host!! When you stay with her, you are staying with the best!!"

"Everything was as described and she has really nice kitchen utensils and pots, etc. It would have been a perfect stay except the AC unit was loud and came on and off throughout the night . This may not bother some but I'm a light sleeper. We had beautiful weather and a wonderful stay in a cosy place ."

"The outlets in the loft only work if the light is on so you are unable to use the fan/charge phones etc. unless the lights are on. I would recommend bringing a battery powered fan it can get quite hot up there at night even with the AC on. Overall good experience!"
