Family-sized house 5 minutes away from the beach
This is our family home which we love very much. It is has a great location 5 minutes from the sea and sea views from upstairs.
Swanage is a lovely seaside resort situated on the Jurassic Coast. It is perfect for a beach holiday, walking holiday or just a relaxing holiday. The house is light and airy. It has an open plan kitchen/living room and an orangery which is separated with bi-fold doors. This is used as a dining room. There is one bedroom/office downstairs, a wet-room, a toilet, and a laundry room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. The main one is en suite and a family bathroom. We also offer a simple wooden cabin set in the garden with 2 single beds. Please note there is no bathroom inside the cabin – guests will have access to shared facilities nearby. A basic, no-frills option for a comfortable night’s stay. We have a large back and front garden. There is parking for 2 cars and or ample parking on the private road. Shops, restaurants and beach are a five minute walk.

We had a fantastic stay in this house, which suited our family perfectly. It was beautifully presented, very clean and in a great location. Our only note to others is that it’s up a very steep hill, which might not suit everyone. I’d be delighted to go back next year!
Beautiful house which was perfect for our multi generational group (parents, grandma and 2 kids age 4 and 7). A gorgeous house, thoughtfully and lovingly put together. Lots of board games and other toys that the kids enjoyed. Great quality trampoline provided hours of fun. Lovely back garden with a great view. Short walking distance to town - doable for little or older legs (noting quite a steep hill on the way home for anyone who might find it difficult). Excellent kitchen with large high quality cooker and very well appointed kitchen. Communication with hosts very smooth from start to finish. Thank you!
The house was clean and the kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of utensils and a very efficient dishwasher. The bedrooms were all pristine, so were the bathrooms. We managed the very steep hill to this property but often resorted to using the car to and from the beach. Our one disappointment was no fault of the property owner - VRBO had mistakenly listed a hot tub here, VRBO have admitted this was a fault on their part but it unfortunately remained in the description for all the time we were there. POORLY MANAGED by VRBO, but I repeat, it’s not the fault of the owners who were in close and prompt communication with us about any small points we had during our stay. We love Swanage and would happily stay in this property again.
The house was a great size for us and our 4 children. There was lots of space and the garden was huge! There was a well equipped kitchen which was an asset. Within a short walk from the main town, shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!
